TI: Redd or Mo to the Cavs?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Plus with what I saw with Delonte West in the playoffs, I'd almost rather go with him than Mo Williams considering all his negatives and positives...

I agree completely we can't just throw away everything we need to keep defense. I would much rather go with Redd

Are we still making a move to get Redd?

No. We're going to stand pat. Expect improved performances from Sasha and Wally next year to take us to the next level!!

It seems like AV being involved in a trade to Milwaukee is unlikely. He can deny any trade he is involved in until Dec. 6th and someone told me he has the same agent as Yi Jianlin who plays the same position as Varejo so he probably wouldn't want his guys splitting time.

Well Yi is now out of Milwaukee for Richard Jefferson...suddenly the Cavs look like they just mighbt be able to get Redd!!!

:chuckles: Sarcasm at its finest.

Well its true, sasha can't play much worse, and if wally goes back to his old self shooting 40% from 3pt line, that would be great.

how?? jefferson players Sf and redd is SG. they will keep redd and have a sick starting 5.

Because Yi and AV are represented by the same Agent and it has been reported that AV would decline a trade to Milwaukee because Yi and AV play the same position, have the same agent and would be fighting for mins. Having Rich Jeff and Redd means absolutely nothing to the fact that the Cavs could land Redd

A sick starting five with an absolutely terrible bench. I still have a bit of hope left in me for a Redd deal.

maybe the Bucks are trying to get a package deal with Jefferson and Redd and go young, otherwise why would they draft a forward who plays Jefferson's position?

I feel like an idiot saying this but I think we are all dreaming when we think Danny Ferry is going to make a move that would put us over the top like a Michael Redd and Mo Williams trade. He has just shown over the past few years that he can add OK players to our team but can't ever add a GREAT player like a Michael Redd.

I think the first thing we need to do is get rid of Ferry, because I think that I could do a better job than what he has done.

No, you can't.

Everyone has reservations in dealing with Ferry. He's one of the toughest negotiators in the NBA. He wouldn't be strongarmmed by the toughest agent, and he won't lose out on trades. He deals in ways that make sense for now and the future, hence adding players for now, but also extra expirings to make a larger deal in the future.

Second, no one wants to be the guy that puts LeBron over the top. The league is scared to death of him. Getting him the final piece, along with MB's tenacious defense will keep the Cavs on top for years to come. No GM wants to do that.

The odds are in Ferry's favor, though, to get a deal for star from a crap team. There are plenty of money grubbing owners in the NBA who will be more than willing to dump salary once his team has been eliminated from contention. There will be players to be had. It just requires patience, as it most likely won't happen until the deadline in February.

I don't think we have a chance at getting Redd until the trade deadline if Milwaukee is having a bad season. And I don't see what the big deal with Mo Williams is, I think that Delonte showed a lot of promise for years to come and will be a good PG, Mo Williams to me has more negatives that positives

Agreed. And, :welcome:
