Titanfall

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I was pumped for Titanfall when I heard the old Infinity Ward crew was in charge, but I think I'm going to wait for reviews before jumping in. I am looking forward to the Thief reboot which comes out in a couple weeks. Based on what I've read it plays really well.

Keep an eye out on the reviews for Thief as well. There has been a bunch of turnover on a higher level on the production side. Plus there has been issues on the physics/engine from the get go.

I hope they figured it out, this time of the year can always use another solid game. Gamers are usually lusting over the next big thing after the holidays and developers miss out on a window to do business against very little competition.

I know the NDA embargo just dropped for Titanfall, so you will see a bunch of new information releasing from today on. I know IGN has a bunch of videos and articles already. I haven't barely touched my Xbox One and hope that the game can be as fun as the old Call of Duties where or Halo 2. I had so much more fun with those games than what has been released recently on a multi-player level.

Downloading the beta right now, going to play for a bit and see how it is. A lot of hype for this game which usually means it won't deliver.

Anyone have an extra beta code for XB1 they wouldn't mind parting with? :)

Will probably at least rent this game when it comes out just to check it out, regardless.

What are you willing to give up for it? I've got a beta code sitting in my email for the XB1

Haha to be honest, nothing really. I'm not desperate to play or anything, just wanted to check out the beta if I could. If not, it won't bother me any, because I'll still end up at least giving it a rental/GameFly regardless.

What do you think of it so far? Am I mistaken, or was there another beta that came out before that you had played as well? Has your opinion of this game changed since then?

Yeah I like it. The wall running, double jumping and overall movement is slick, love being able to jump in and out of buildings, jump roof top from roof top with ease. The mech game play is great, also being able to jump on the back of one while still being able to use all your weapons was a nice touch. I was impressed at the maps, the size was surprising, I also like when on uneven ground your aim kinda tilts giving the feeling of being on uneven ground. It's nice to see people rewarded for getting into the action and not sitting back. My favorite part is probably being able to put the mech on follow, we both can kill grunts/pilots and then when another mech comes I can jump right in. I could see this becoming a regular in my battlefield/tribes 2 rotation.

Forgot, after losing a battle to a mech and getting ejected then landing on that mech and getting revenge is awsome.

I signed up with both my emails, if I get another one I'll send you it Marcus.

Thought the game was pretty damn fun. Blew up some dudes Mech than we were both shot 30 ft in the air were he proceeded to kill me :chuckles:

Edit: Good news for those who weren't able to get a beta code

This game is definitely fun, played for a couple hours this weekend and really enjoyed myself.

It does play like CoD but the bullet registration and maps were much better IMO.

Played a bit of the beta at my friend's house. Had some fun but I hate the bots. Seriously they're just there to be fodder. They don't do anything what so ever and basically just there to make horrible players feel like they can contribute. This will never be a competitive fps. This is to cod as cod is to battlefield. As in it's a more casual experience.

Like I said I had fun, but there's not a chance it could convince me to buy an xbone. Couldn't even convince me to get a 360 lol. Maybe if I ever get around to building a pc I'll pick up tf2 if it's not on ps4.

Edit: to the guy that said he didn't want to spend 3 grand on a pc this game is one of the least demanding games to run. Look up the min specs needed. I believe the gpu is a 560 with 512mb of ram. Basically any pc you buy at a best buy with a dedicated gpu could run this game. For 3 grand you would get a pc that could just about run any game at 4k I would imagine.

3 grand on a PC, lol. What is this, 2001? Built a top notch PC last year for under a grand.

It's possible, but you really have to want to spend that kind of money. I spent about 1400 for mine a year ago (32 inch HDTV monitor included) and I'm still playing everything on all high. My computer laughs at my attempts to tax it.

Well shit, i spent 1000 on my water cooling loop and 900d itself lol. Got two 780ti's in that bitch also. :p

Can I borrow your pc for a few years? At this point my only slow down to building a pc is waiting for the nvidia 800 series of gpus to come out so the 700 series is cheaper. I want to sli two 780s but theres no way I can afford that right now.
