Someone else can spend more so Craig Counsell wont go to Cleveland.. really?.. that's the "inside" information?.. You'd expect more than the integrity of a Hoynse to come up to his level..

Guardians with fourth best winning % at .547

Brewers tenth best at .524

But whereas the Guardians never let Tito’s contract expire/go to open market, Brewers did and that lack of complete 100% commitment/conviction to him has him looking around.

Now, from a biased perspective, I feel the Guardians are set up for a big next 6-8 years even moreso then Brewers and I’m sure Counsell and his counsel are well aware of what we have in place already here and coming through the pipeline

If true, could interpret this two ways.

1) Of course he’s going back, the point of this to get paid what he feels he’s worth, would be mission accomplished.

2) If that’s the case and depending the definition of “quite some time” sounds like Counsell might be more open to leaving.
