Is there a deadeye shooter coming out in this years draft? I watched zero college / euro ball this year so idk. Is anyone coming out with exquisite shooting ability?
My favorite deadeye shooting prospect is Trey Murphy from Virginia. I like him as a SF shooter more than Kispert out of Gonzaga, who is also a great shooter and could be Kyle Korver every year on Halloween.
Both should be drafted several picks after the Cavs pick.
Keep in mind seniors like Kispert, Murphy, Davion Mitchell etc. had additional years to perfect their outside shot. Something to be said for younger players close to their shooting skills at age 19 or so.
6'8 Sam Hauser out of Virginia/Marquette as well, shot 60% from two and 42% from three this season. At the free throw line, he was almost perfect, going 43-for-48 (90%) on the season. In 126 career college games, Hauser shot 43.9% from three on over 700 attempts and 88.0% from the line on over 200 attempts.Outside of Kispert, Green, and Cunningham, who are already toward the top of the draft...
Quentin Grimes, Houston
Matthew Hurt, Duke
Cameron Thomas, LSU
Trey Murphy, Virginia
Marcus Zegarowski, Creighton
Top three "deadeye shooters" I like in this year's draft:
1. Kispert (22 years, 44% 3pt, 53% FG with 52% of attempts are from 3, 88% FT. Good defence)
2. Grimes (21 years, 40% 3pt, 41% FG with 58% of attempts are from 3, 79% FT. Solid defence)
3. Trey Murphy (21 years, 43% 3pt, 50% FG with 63% attempts are from 3, 93% FT. Meh defence, but has positional size advantage)

I mean, if the Cavs picked him, I'd probably be conflicted rooting for a guy named David Duke no matter how good of a shooter he was, but maybe that's just me.

I was always surprised that Jon Diebler never got a real NBA opportunityI am always surprised there aren't more guy like this who stick. I guess they usually don't have the athleticism.
