I've flip-flopped on this so many times I can't remember. After watching him in the playoffs last season, I thought he looked ridiculous. If we still had a full and healthy roster, I might have a different opinion. But times, and circumstances have changed.
1. The Cavs have one of the best records in the East. It will all be thrown away if we just use 10 day contracts to fill the backup PG position.
2. Rubio is gone for good. Too bad.
3. Without Rubio, KLove may slide back, so put him in the deal.
4. You gotta think Simmons has a point to prove. He's boys with Garland. Klutch would make sure it's a good match. A comfortable Simmons is an improved Simmons. And he's the right age.
5. Simmons in the backcourt finally gives us size back there.
6. JBB is now extended, so no question he is in charge.
I honestly believe, once he is integrated with this team, the Cavs could contend for the East.
Any combination of Sexton, Okoro, Love, 1st round pick, or maybe Cedi is ok with me.
