Trade Ideas 23-24

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Still would love to see Patrick Williams be a Cav, but he’s rumored to be wanting a ton of money. Tempers my desire a bit.

I watched the Spurs last night and was surprised to see that Keldon Johnson no longer starts there. Apparenlty he hasn’t been for a while now? Is he attainable?

I think we’d probably have to give up JA, which is something I’d consider, but KJ is another guy that just doesn’t quite have the size/length to make it worth it, in my opinion. He’s a good player though.

I think the Cavs FO is going to give this group another go in this year’s playoffs. Then assuming another disappointing exit, I think we’ll see:

1. New coach.
2. Donovan Mitchell trade and perhaps other trades.
3. Okoro/Mobley extensions.

in that order.

This is just a trial balloon. There has been much argument about duplication of talent on the Cavs. Also, whether JA's resurgence is because Mobley is out. So,,,,
Would you trade EMobley (and filler) to the Rockets for Sengun (and filler)?
Trading defense for offense, and a little more space.

Not on a bet..

I wouldn't trade him for Sengun and filler. But I'd at least consider trading him for Sengun, Eason and a pick.

What would it take for us to get De'Andre Hunter? Really think we would benefit from his size and strength in a series against Milwaukee/Boston. Think he could put us over the top in those series?!

Okoro + First rd pick swap 2030 do it?

Thats probably enough but I'd prefer to keep okoro in this deal. Hunter is never healthy and that really hurts his value

His contract is also pretty high based on the current cap (Likely better in a couple of years). It also lowers his value and makes him a little harder to craft a trade for.

Would like to keep Okoro as well, definitely think he could resign with us on a good deal this offseason or he could pack his bags. I don't know if waiting for it is worth the risk. I thought about the injury status, wonder just how much that lowers his value!

Wow! Tristan using PED’s?!?!
Andre Drummond has a similar skill set. A little better offensive rebounder.
Georges Niang, Ty Jerome, Damian Jones and a #2 to Chicago.
Drummond and Patrick Williams to the Cavs.
Drummond gets Tristan’s minutes. I’d love to see what Williams can do with Niang’s minutes.
This trade also opens a roster spot for post trade deadline cuts.

You want Drummond and his negative locker room back?

Stay lurking my friend.

Negative locker room impact? You mean the year Drummond was in the last year of his big money contract and was upset he was getting no playing time? Long time ago buddy. He’s on $3M 1 year deal now. Gone at the end of the year. Allen is almost a lock to get hurt again. Tristan is out for 25 games. Cavs just need 15 minutes a game for 25 games from a competent big. Implying that his presence in the Locker Room will hurt the team more than help it is laughable. Easily 3 extra wins in 25 games. You’re the Lurker Colonel Sanders! Lol
