Trayvon Martin 911 Call From Neighbors and Zimmerman (Audio)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We also have to remember that a kid was being followed by a grown man. Since Trayvon had no weapon to defend himself, it's entirely possible HE got scared and deciddd to attack before he was attacked. My problem with Zimmerman is that he assumed Trayvon was up to no good and, instead of letting law enforcement do their job, tried playing policeman. Then, when things didn't go his way, he took the coward's way out.

According to the law, thanks to the idiotic SYG Law, I do think he'll walk or get a lighter sentence. It's just a sad story all around - a young man is dead and an adult's life ruined because that adult tried playing police.

You tell JSS that he doesn't know what happened and to let the legal system play out, then you basically say there's no doubt he's guilty. :chuckles:

I don't understand why so many people think this was a hate crime and want him executed when they don't kow what happened. Personally, I'm not necessarily behind him. I think he's an idiot. But I also don't think he should be a sacrificial lamb given up becuase many in the black community are outraged and think Zimmerman exectuted Trayvon becuase of the color of his skin. Let's be honest, if Zimmerman and Trayvon look like this, does your opinion on the case change? Mine wouldn't, but i'm neither black nor latino.

...and you'd vote guilty before the trial started. :)

Back to your "nowhere near enough evidence to suggest Zimmerman is innocent" comment. I think you're nuts. Zimmerman says he was knocked to the ground with one punch that broke his nose, then Trayvon started slamming his head on the cement, he feared his life was in danger so he shot Trayvon. Medical records show he had a broken nose. There are numerous photos of the back of his head being bloodied and cut up. Medical examiners found two injuries on Trayvon, a gun shot wound and broken skin on his knuckles. Zimmerman is screaming like a bitch on the 911 tapes. A witness said Zimmerman was on the ground screaming like a bitch and getting his ass kicked. Those screams sound like someone that absolutely thought his life was in danger. Zimmerman says he shot him...not because he was black...but because he was getting his ass handed to him and was terrified. Not saying he was right. I'd love to see him do some time for manslaughter and just being stupid. But, I'm not 100% sure if he broke the law due to the idiocy of "stand your ground" or maybe even simple self defense. The evidence seems to support Zimmerman's account of what happened. It's not nearly the slam dunk you think it is.

LoL @ that picture

Looks like a black bear from India and a young thundercat.

If Trayvon was scared I find it pretty odd that he would sit on top of Zimmerman and beat his head into the sidewalk instead of punching him out and running away immediately. In fact, Trayvon had all the time in the world to run away and call police if he were so scared. I think realistically Trayvon was a troubled teenager who was kicked out of moms house, kicked out school, and he tried to be the tough guy on the phone with his girlfriend instead of handling it non aggressively.

At the end of the day, it is not illegal to be suspicious of someone in your neighborhood nor is it illegal to follow someone.

on a serious note, if someone kills zack morris im going to lose my shit

That's certainly how the Defense will argue it, and I do agree Zimmerman didn't do anything illegal thanks to Florida's stupid SYG Law.

However, my point is Zimmerman is at fault here. Martin wasn't doing anything wrong. Martin was surely scared, as any teenager with an adult stalking them would be. Zimmerman could/should have called police and let them do their work. Instead, he followed Martin, got out of his car to confront Martin, and then used his gun when Martin didn't back down to him. Zimmerman was the one playing tough guy. Zimmerman is clearly troubled himself. Zimmerman was the adult here, and yet Zimmerman's irresponsible actions caused this.

We can assault Martin's character and call him troubled, but Zimmerman's irresponsible behavior cannot be ignored.

This is a false perception of what actually happened. Zimmerman didn't confront Trayvon. In the timeline of events and phone calls, Trayvon doubled back for some unknown reason and that is when they both came face to face.

Would you lead a man who was following you back to your residence. A man who has already been following you and staring at you. IDK. Because when i was that age I would have maybe tried to lose the guy without showing him where I lived/was staying. Just a theory because some are trying to draw the conclusion that a known liar's(Zimmerman) account of the situation is iron clad. To imply that Trayvon doubled back to fight this man is wild speculation.

Trayvon is still a highschool teenager while all of this is transpiring. We can't know if he was frightened out of his mind or pissed off because he is dead now. But what we do know is Zimmerman followed this dude openly and Trayvon acknowledged that he was being followed by running, implying that he felt threatened(scared).

There is no one to confirm the story that trayvon hit zimmerman first. Just Zimmerman's account. The prosecution will have trayvon's girlfriend who was on the phone with trayvon during the confrontation allegedly.

The SYG trial should be interesting to say the least. This is decided by a judge and not a jury right?

Zimmerman was following him in his car, exited his car to follow him, but lost sight of Martin. Nobody knows for sure what happened next.

However, two expert audio technicians, listed as possible witnesses for the prosecution, analyzed the emergency calls made during the altercation and concluded that the screams for help did not come from Zimmerman.

What if Trayvon WAS trying to kill Zimmerman or subdue an armed man who was clearly stalking him...because Trayvon saw the gun when they met behind the building complex? It would explain why trayvon was bashing his head into the ground to knock Zimmerman unconscious and then subsequently going for the gun as Zimmerman has noted.

Once again the star witness is dead. We will never know. Zimmerman will get off for this because he aimed well. His testimony is impossible to refute unless he has inconsistencies. But he can always say he doesn't remember certain details because of the nature of the event. Unlesss he gets caught in a lie somehow I think he will get off.

Wasn't there an eyewitness that said it was Zimmerman? Seems silly that two expert audio technicians would try to go against that if true.

Definitely think we're gonna need to get a Mod in here. Common sense nor actual fact will not be tolerated in this thread. Please either make something up in your head or expand upon what you've heard with your own interjection. Innocent until proven guilty no longer applies here because the news has given us enough information and blogs have given us enough opinion to come to our conclusions. Anything that could possibly come up in the case now is just fluff to drag the trial so more people can profit from selling t-shirts.

Sad state we are in reading some of the comments.

Because a witness has never been wrong before?

At the same time something seems off about the two audio techs.

True...CNN says chief witness lied.

(CNN) -- The state's chief witness in the Trayvon Martin murder case lied under oath, prosecutors say.

The young woman who says she was on the phone with Martin when he encountered George Zimmerman lied about her whereabouts at another time, the prosecution told a judge Tuesday.

The woman, whose name has not been released, had told prosecutors that she was in the hospital on the day of Martin's funeral. The defense then sought her medical records.

Letters to Zimmerman show split opinions on Trayvon Martin shooting

In court on Tuesday, the state said the woman, known as Civilian Witness 8, was not in the hospital, so there are no such records to be turned over.

Prosecutors did not immediately respond to a question Wednesday from CNN about the witness's credibility and how this may affect the case.

Questions have long surrounded the woman. Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump first played an audio recording of the woman a year ago at a news conference. The recording seemed to have very poor quality.

Police said that as of that point they had not interviewed her.

Crump said the witness was 16 years old. But prosecutors have since said she was already 18 -- legally an adult -- on the night of the killing, February 26, 2012, in Sanford, Florida.

Martin, 17, was walking to the house of his father's fiancee after a trip to a nearby convenience store.

Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, has acknowledged shooting Martin.

Crump has accused Zimmerman of killing Martin "in cold blood."

Zimmerman says he acted in self-defense.
