Just wanted to start this to get some tribe talk going. I've been looking at that westbrook ready to cash in forever it seems like. The tribe are going to be better than last year? Agree or disagree? why?

Agree... as long as the bullpen gets sorted out and they stay healthy. We've had extremely good luck keeping our starting rotation healthy the last two seasons. With CC, Westbrook, Lee, Sowers, and Byrd we are looking pretty solid. And we still have a lot of young arms ready to fill in. Obviously the bullpen is the question mark but we have a lot more depth now, even with Foulke retiring.

The offense has not been a problem and should be improved with the additions of Barfield, Nixon, and Dellucci. Everyone knows that Sizemore, Hafner, and Victor are studs. If we can get good production out of our platoons we will be a dominant offense again. I'm curious to see how things shake out at first base - there are a lot of bodies to put over there with Blake, Garko, Victor (when he needs some rest), and Hafner (against the NL).

I have high hopes for this team... the only thing that worries me is the AL Central. We could easily win 90 games and be left out of the postseason.

what about that asian guy we got last year late in a trade. I forget his name but he was a slugger.

Shin Soo Choo?

Because they take up all the allotted time for baseball highlights with mindless chatter about the Yankees/Red Sox/Bonds, etc. ESPN sucks... yet I still watch. :banghead:

Here's what I've gathered (taking that line from Smooth:))

Adam Miller is coming along nicely. Carmona was shaky in his first start but in his second-against the yankees-he was very sharp only allowing one hit. Grady hit his first HR and had a SF for an RBI as well as a diving catch (love how he plays). The Pitching has been lights out for us so far. Cliff Lee could pitch in a game this week or early next week. Lina is sucking it up to put it lightly. Inglett pulled a hammy, so Rousch and Rivas are the top 2 candidates for backup SS right now. Rivas is putting bunts down nicely (1 in a game).

Man this team can win 100.

it's only spring training.. indians fans crack me up..

I know this doesn't really mean anything but I think Miller is going to be good. Here are the Indians listed in Baseball America's top 100 prospects:
