Tristan Thompson

How do you know that?

He looks as if he is carrying excess weight, especially when you compare him to 2-3 years ago. His whole game was about energy and hustle, fighting for offensive rebounds when he can put multiple leaps together quickly. Extra weight is not helpful there.

Even 90% of what he was would be super useful in the playoffs, could send in Nance and Thompson, tell then to go as hard as possible in short bursts, wear out the opposition bigs in a long series.

I cry myself to sleep every night knowing we had to part ways with Channing, while we are stuck with this goof :bigcry::bigcry::bigcry:
Seriously, as we get into the playoffs we are gonna see how much we really miss Channing once Love goes to the bench. Koby would have for sure locked up EOY if he could of somehow got rid of TT and kept Frye.

People don't understand it yet , but Channing was a huge loss for this team...in the east atleast. He had a huge impact getting us to the finals rather easily. He would have allowed us to make Embiid, JV and every other rim protector a liability. Teams wouldn't have a chance to produce a higher .PPP than us with Channing coupled with playoffs Lebron on the floor.

His efficiency as a spot up shooting Big was the best in the league and he could handle his own defensively against the bigger guys in the league. Was good defensively at defending post ups and was generally our best big man defender this year. Yep...

i agree with what is written about frye

frye - love - lebron - korver/hood/jr - hill lineup would have been unguardable for anybody in the east and would've easily outscored every potential matchup up until the finals.

Yep, just zero chance for teams do defend our lineups with Frye at center.

We couldn't have gotten Nance and Clarkson without his expiring though, but both of them are bench players for us. Pretty crazy that our only starter from all the trades is George Hill...this isn't good. We needed to improve our starting lineup and by the looks of it, we hadn't done it.

ETA: Wonder what the odds are I'll get a decent answer to that question....
I googled Tristan Thompson to look up his stats and the 1st page is mostly flooded with his relationship . The titles of a few were interesting, just be glad I didn’t mention how Chloe thinks TT is an amazing lover.

Hopefully he leaves Khloe too so he can get rid of the Kardashian curse and become a halfway competent player again.
TT has no basketball skills. All he ever had was athleticism and a good motor. But his hands suck, his footwork sucks, he can't shoot or finish, he is overmatched by any true center.

The best we can hope for is that he somehow regains some of his mojo on the offensive boards but that's doubtful.

He needs to go away but we're stuck with him and his dickfingers.

Will he be an expiring next year? I sure hope so. I really do not understand at all how someone can play professional basketball for 5+ years without developing any basketball skills. Like, wtf does he do all season?

TT has two more years left after this season.

Not getting that team option on the last year is a killer. Would have been a million times easier to trade this summer and especially at next years deadline.

Even a player option would have been better. We could hold out hope the LA lifestyle would come calling to him and the Kardashians would get into his head that he could get a deal from a West coast team.

If we're stuck with him for awhile what's the best way to stop the pain? Do we as a team want to win? If the answer is yes, we got to keep him off the floor and put forth out best players & effort.

It's tricky, I don't want to give up Ante or Cedi to get rid of him. I wouldn't mind if we got a good allstar in their prime along withe the brooklyn pick and him as a throw in to make the salary match, but I don't think that happens.

I think it comes down to who is the coach next year, and whether he is willing to bypass the overpaid guy for the promising guy. If Zizic can improve this year the way he did last year, it will be no contest and he will be the very clearly better player next year even if I think he is already.
