I don't know this...and neither do you. It's one of the smarter companies around, they know what they're doing.
What's the big picture @KI4MVP, myself and other small business owners don't understand. Enlighten us.
And there's a big part of me that thinks you don't have any idea what it's like to own a small business. Im really not trying to be a prick, but i dont think you have a clue what a battle it is. Selfish? Our health insurance can't keep going up 20-22% every freaking year...it's not sustainable. Our customers can't keep saying "we're going to keep on using the same old equipment" every year because THEIR insurance is going up, they're getting strangled by regulations and the economy isn't growing. And for those lucky enough to make a profit, the USA has the highest tax rate on the planet.
I think big corporations can be selfish. Sure, some small ones can too. But, most small business owners are usually very close with their employees...their employees are like family. Making decisions aren't just about how it effects the owner's wallet, but everyone. There's a massive risk and stress in owning a company. If the govt is anti-business and making it harder to make a decent profit, there's no real incentive to do it. I told several here that i was planning my exit plan because it's been that miserable the last 8 years...it's wasn't fun anymore. Now, i'm going to stick around a while longer and see if Trump can make my company great again.
I am curious why you wouldn't support universal Healthcare? I have never understood why you are responsible for your employees health insurance to begin with. It is a major detraction for starting your own business. If you can't offer health insurance, how can you attract good people? When you hit the 60 person minimum you have to take a hit to offer insurance. If anything universal healthcare should be good for business, but republicans don't see it that way.
Whoever handles that for you could actually be tasked with doing business instead of dealing with employee health coverage. If you didn't lose insurance when you quit your job to start your own business. I just don't get it. Health care costs are most likely completely unrelated to the products you make, so why should it be tied to your success as a businessperson?
