Ty Jerome: Grand Theft Salary

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wait, that's an old pic of Jerome, right? I thought he had some work done a couple months ago. Did I miss something, or did he go back in for more? Or, is this his first attempt to fix his ailment literally almost a half year later?

Maybe Ty should of talked to Tristan's "guy" before having surgery and try some HGH?

Fuck your surgery, bro!

I wonder if they could petition the NBA to get an exception for him at this point? I know it's not a ton of money, but having an exception might grease some wheels on smaller trades.

Had to apply for the DPE by Jan 15th from what I am reading, so we missed the boat.

Could of been nice to use to fit in someone like Bismack, but I dont know if it helps with Luxury tax anyway.

Its one half of the salary anyways which was 1.25, league min is more than that anyways for even a 1 year player at 1.53 so I doubt it would of mattered.

That sucks. Maybe it wouldn't have mattered anyhow. Honestly not sure what to do about this though. It does create a bit of a roster issue.

We are right next to the luxury tax limit. We dont want to go over this year. But we are now down to 11 playable guys under an NBA contract. 8-9 who are currently healthy. We are quickly coming up on the time that CPJ needs to be converted (roughly by the trade deadline), which will eat into the meager cap space we have.

If Jermoe is truly out for the rest of the season and we can ostensibly count TT as out, this team has some legit problems unless we find a way to shed salary to allow FA signings.

CPJ has to be signed a week after the deadline, we have 2 open roster spots if you count Pete Nance's 10 day an open spot.

I am calling my shot. We make no trades, convert CPJ to a rookie deal, sign pete nance to a 2-way, sign Bismack on the vet min.

But can we sign Bismack and CPJ while staying under the cap? I'm fine with the proposition. Especially if they can test drive I. Mobley a little more.

I think yes since i think they only count for the time they are with us, or about a half year.

900k for CPJ and 3.5mil for Bismack are their mins, but less than 2.5 combine if we sign now keeping us under the 3.5 or so we have left?

Honestly that is a great question, but I think yes.

Just rip his leg off at this point.

Done with this guy…

It is weird just how little info we get about this guy. Do we even know if he's been in Cleveland?

Candidate for the Bogut or Windler Cavs career trajectory
