vBookie: Ohio State at Illinois

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hey, I thought of something kind of fun we can do. We can make a game out of this. All of us who lost all our vcash in this, we can take a pact. Whoever gets their vcash back up to $1000 first we all have to rep you. Just make a post in this thread when you get to $1000, and we'll all hit you up.

By my count, here are the posters who went all in:

Style
Lepip
Cavs1
cdt
chiefwahoo56
Cavsfan89

What do you say fellas, first to $1000 gets rep? I'm in if you all are.

Sounds good to me...

notice how the spread jumped from 27.5 to 25.5 before the game? Somebodies backed ILlinois hard. I think that Tressel, like all prominent D1A coaches gets some calls from some "boosters" or alumns or whatever. This is just my theory, not to be confused with that shameless rumor-mongerer The George, but then again, I also think 50% of players from every D1A program are on steroids too. And it doesn't bother me one bit - I just think of it like "The Program."

JT was not intentionally making it a close game so that Illinois would beat the spread. Gambling odds and spreads change all the time. It has to do with who the majority of the people are betting on, and the house covering their butts. For example, if a ton of people started betting on Illinois +27.5, the house will move the spread down a little. Likewise, if everyone is betting on OSU -27.5 then they will increase the spread. If the bets are pretty close to even, they leave it alone. Again, this is about the house covering themselves. If everyone bets on Illinois, and Ohio State doesn't beat the spread, then the house will lose money.

So what likely happened is many people saw that the spread was 27.5, saw that IU is improving every week and nearly knocked off Wisky the week prior, and they were hopping all over that. The house then dropped the spread a little. Sadly none of us used that same logic.

So cali....since OSU lost to a horrible trash team like Illinois...does that make them a bad team now?

I mean, since like you said...a good team should never barely beat a bad team.

What's your take on that garbage performance?

It's official...show Michigan a billion different looks..Tressell may say 1 game at a time but he's definately showcasing certain looks, aspects and many different things of the offense just giving Michigan a lot more to gameplan on.

Certainly he took the foot off the accelerator a little early, but his plan was to run a lot more and give Michigan more to think about..

Bad play but it was by design..

Speaking of the game, there is a pretty good article on ESPN.com about how both teams may be over rated. Good read.

Overrated maybe but ranked in the top 5 yes..

So whos ND play this week the coast guard?

I'm pretty sure that JT had it in his designs to win decisively.

This has nothing to do with Notre Dame and it shows exactly the ignorance of yourself and cali and the exact point I was trying to make.

**** you dick.

First off they didnt lose, moron. How the hell are you going to come here and say they lost. Goodness.

I didnt get to watch the whole game, and if you read the thread I said I wasnt impressed.

oh let me remind you.

you had to have God on your side to beat michigan state.
you had to have God on your side to bet ucla.

put that together and you nearly have 3 freaking losses this year, already.

lol...exactly my point.

It's always ok for OSU to have a close game, but never for any other team in America.

Classic.

You come in and talk about our team so why can't we talk about yours?
