i didn't like the early part of the game much, our offense on most possessions early on didn't seem to be running any plays, just some 1 on 1 basketball then a bad shot... fortunately we were really cooking on the offensive glass, thanks to z and drew
lebron especially seemed to really be pressing... i love him and everything, but it just seems like he does take a certain pride in his points (what player doesn't?) and leading the team every game, so as the game wore on and he wasn't getting his, he started forcing things... and it just wasn't working for him tonight. Most other nights, when he has that kind of mindset he would've eventually broken through and gotten his 25+, but tonight he was little off
the good part is, the other players really showed they can carry a game when lebron isn't, and as more games go by, lebron will realize he can depend on them and won't feel obliged to press so much (i know he says in all the interviews that he lets the game come to him because he knows he has teammates this season that can carry the load, but for his entire basketball life he has had to practically win every game by himself, so it's no easy habit to break)
i thought it was interesting how brown kept playing our starters far after the game seemed pretty much over... maybe he wanted to make a point after orlando came back on us to send the game into OT a week ago
all in all, it's very exciting to see our team noticeably improve game by game, our hustle on all ends of the floor was great, defensively the guys seem to be really getting into it and are getting better as a team every game, we held them to the 80's while scoring in the 100's... can't complain about that at all
z dominated the first half, damon and luke lit up the 3-point line in the 2nd half, and gooden continues to play like an elite pf, oh and snow is hitting his open jumpers, which is exactly what we need... lebron struggled a bit, larry and donyell were a bit quiet
yet another blowout win at home, great job team
