Week 1 (9/11): Browns @ Eagles [1:00 PM EST, CBS]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can someone explain to me how this helps in the AFC North?
It could improve our strength of schedule if we need the extra BCS points to make the Bourbon Bowl.

13-8

Irrelevant who actually wins. I just can't see either offense scoring much- only wild card is if the Eagles are able to effectively run the ball then they could put some points up. Otherwise I see two inept offenses that will have a rock throwing contest.

How long has it been since we have won game 1?
There have been some wildly creative ways to lose those games too.

Last time against the Eagles though was awesome. Weeden got lost under the flag then threw 77 pics, and still had to find a way to lose it.

No way we win this one

Last time we won an opener was in 2004. Since the team came back, that's the only opener we've won.

ETA: Here's a nifty misery chart!

I still get pissed thinking about that Rudd helmet toss game. The bengals game in 2011 was a shitty way to lose too. I was at that game and the Bengals were going nowhere fast with Grodkowski (spelling?) as QB since a rookie Dalton hurt his hand in the 2nd quarter. Late in the 4th the Browns defense decided to not breakout of the huddle for whatever fucking reason and the Grodkowski snapped the ball and lobbed it to a wide open rookie AJ Green. Game over.

"Charlie Frye (benched 1st half for Derek Anderson)" - Good way to start off the season.

Last time we played the Eagles in the first game of the season. Good times.

That game was awesome!! I remember watching that and thinking, they must be calling time ou....shit they didn't and nobody is playing defense, and there's AJ Green wide open as fuck.

20-16 Browns. :praying:

On a side note, the experts over at ESPN pretty much all went Eagles, except for one. Of course, many of them went Carolina last night, too.

wow. I just realized I attended 5 of the 6 first openers back when I was still in town. A ton of old memories. I still remember the BSK on knr saying they were going 8-8 in 99 in the pre season lol. We had both Chris Palmer and Pat Shurmur in the same 15 year period? That in itself says it all.

Im feeling it this morning.

Browns win 34-10. Nassib and Ogbah have at least one sack each. RG3sus baptizes the entire Philly defense.
34-10 is probably a fantasy. I will take any type of win with an above average performance from RG3. Browns 21 Eagles 20
