I agreed that we needed to give Hoyer one more shot. If Manziel played that game and played like crap, then what are you going to do? Hell, if Hoyer played well and lost there would be some argument, but the guy has let the Johnny talk get to him, he's lost his confidence, and the opposing teams arent just bottom-barrell anymore. The D did have an opportunity at the end to close it but its hard to ask them to do more, especially considering they were down Gibson, Williams, Dansby, and half of the rotation D Line.
At this point there is an outside chance that 10-6 gets into the playoffs but we gotta see what Manziel can do. It won't be a full evaluation by any means, but we got to give him a shot. Maybe we reel off 3 straight, the right teams lose, and we have an answer for who our QB is going to be going forward.
I'd been willing to let Hoyer have a bad game here and there but the turnovers and lack of production have hit a tipping point.
