Week 16: Browns @ Panthers; 1:00 P.M. CBS

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think you're mistaking those who knew Hoyer wasn't the answer with Manziel fans. Most people on here that wanted Manziel in for Hoyer 2 weeks ago didn't want it because they wanted to see Johnny, rather they just had enough of Hoyer.
I've had enough of both. But the same people who did nothing but bitch and moan about Hoyer (justifiably) don't like it when I do the same about Manziel.

The issue was MRMSix6's hypocrisy - take one quick scan through his recent posts and you'd realize he's one of the most negative, confrontational posters on the board. Yet I'M not allowed to call out a player's shortcomings?

I'll be a fanboy of whoever the hell can win games as a Browns QB.

Nice run Crowell.

Wow Even the server chocked !!!! Inspired by Johnny football ?

Going to be fun talking QB again this off-season. Can't wait for the Cutler lovers to get going.

Too small, too slow, poor technique, no pre-snap reads, inaccurate, no zip on his passes, just all around bad.

Did Manziel advocates think all of these issues would just disappear into thin air when he reached the pros?

Thought his size could be mitigated with the right play calling, thought his throwing mechanics could be fixed, and thought his accuracy was underrated. I've been spectacularly wrong for the first two games of his career, but that's still not enough to write off a player.

IMO most of the problems we've seen are fixable, and at only 22 he's the second youngest starting QB the Browns have ever had. I'll readily admit he's more of project then I and many other Johnny fans anticipated, and the coaching staff proved that with their reluctance to turn to him even with Hoyer stinking up the joint.

Everyone knew he was going to struggle with making progressions in a pro-style scheme, it's not a surprise he still looks like he wants to make a single read then take off to improvise. He's got to be more comfortable making the right read and trusting himself to make the throw, when he's not throwing off his back foot I think he shows some zip on his intermediate passes.

The most depressing thing?

Gilbert and Manziel is quickly approaching Richardson and Weeden status.

You just can't blow picks like that and expect to be a good team. Period.

Im just wondering if Manziel is really hurt or if that was a ninja benching.

still Hoyer came out and showed exactly why Manziel should be playing. Then again I havent been a fan of Hoyer way before Manziel was drafted by the Browns. He is a good backup quarterback.
