Week 2 Browns @ Ravens 1PM CBS

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What the fuck are you talking about. Read my post again.

I was defending Kizer.

Chris said he's a bit discouraged.

In his second game starting. With a shitty running game, shitty receivers, and one of the best defense's in the league.

Asking a rookie QB to go into Baltimore and win the game with his arm, was unrealistic.

It was. I think its hyperbole to say he has a bad supporting cast. I think he has a few guys who are decent in Johnson, Devalve, Njoku. Playing against the Steelers who have fast and good players and the Ravens, who have an incredible defense right now shoulf NOT be an indictment on his weapons.

I suspect the next game is going to look a lot different.

I'll take Hue over anybody else we trot the hell in here.

Because I know the types of guys we get and hint they're not very good.

It starts with us going

"ZOMG! MAYBE GRUDEN, COWHER, OR SABAN WILL COME HERE"

Then ends us with us holding our dick and watching as Pat Shurmer, Romeo Crennel or the Patriots Towel boy coming here...and us looking even worse.

There's a lot to learn from NFL practices.

If he struggles this bad, any coach should sit him down and regain his composure. That's for his own good.

If he loses his confidence and spends a large part of the season getting fucking drilled like has thus far. We'd be crazy not to pull him.

I don't like how he takes so make unnecessary hits. He's like, you know, the future is he not?

If he can't learn to protect himself better, then yes, you get him the fuck out of there just for that alone before he ends up on the IR for the season.

I understand your points but these are his first two games and they came against two teams who are in the class of the AFC. Ravens D is better than I thought they were. I thought the Bengals just sucked but that could still be true. It's a road game in probably the second hardest place to play after Seattle.

PIT is legit. These were his first two opponents. I think you have to at least let him get some more game experience in him before jumping to a conclusion.

Example: On that final drive after a horrible day Kizer throws a pass to Sammie Coates who flat out quit on his route. Kizer was seen dogging him for it. He converted that play to DeValve to keep the drive alive and then the rookie Njoku dropped an easy one. This whole season is an evaluation. There are little things that you can learn from games like this. Kizer getting into Coates for his lack of effort is the kind of stuff you want to see from a rookie QB having a bad day. The drops by Njoku are unacceptable but he did make a great play earlier and like Kizer he will have some rookie moments this year. There's really noting to do except to face the fact that there are a lot more lumps that these guys will take this year and that's fine. This isn't a sprint.

Who the fuck are we hiring if we fire hue?

No one is taking this job. No one. It's a -bad- job. a bad one.

I'd wager that if Hue stinks up the season, but Gregg Williams' defense continues to grow and improve, he could be promoted.

There's no way you can actually believe this team has adequate playmakers on offense

And tbh, the weapons aren't the problem, it's the scheme they run that absolutely neutralizes anything.

Can't expect a rookie QB against an elite defense to have success with three receiving options running 12+ yard routes. I've never seen a team lineup in shotgun and consistently run deep route plays where there's three options and no checkdowns.

I think that's about the only scenario where I'd feel comfortable.

Unless somehow you could get Bill Belichick or something (lol). Becuase...it's not going to work.

Goodell already has it in for us....promote the Bountygate guy to HC, and we'll never get another call again.

Coleman is about it.

Njoku is young and raw.

You're just better off leaving hue coach another year.

I'm serious. Even if we pick top 5 again, who cares? At least we get another crack at another elite talent.

Does Corey even count? He has shown very few glimpses of being a playmaker at the NFL level.

He seems to be a number 2 option I think.

In theory if you had a guy like Gordon/Pryor? It'd be intriguing to see how he'd look. He's not a number 1 though.
