Week 3: Titans @ Browns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not really sure how much more bone transfusions this team needs but on the list today are:

1. Home game
2. Massive good news on Nick Chubb yesterday
3. Hunt’s return
4. 2 and 3 will undoubtedly feed into 1 and compound it

My prediction: Browns 31-21 over the Titans. The Browns will score more because the Titan's defense isn't as good as Pittsburgh and we'll have fewer turnovers and no pick 6s.
If we don't throw a pick six, how is Tennessee scoring three times?

19-10 Browns. Defense continues to dominate. Nuk puts through 4 field goals while Cade York looks on longingly.

Elijah Moore gadget play will result in a turnover giving the Titans excellent field position

No one will be permitted to question the play call because of an undetermined reason why it will be claimed to ackshually make sense even though it turns momentum in the game

So call it now.

You're saying that we shouldn't use Elijah Moore in these gadget plays? No end arounds, pre-snap motion, etc?

Because I see someone who's pretty good with the ball in his hands and blaming coaching if he fumbles the ball away seems pretty dumb.

I think the situation dictates it. you can call it a cop out answer and say I’m just going to claim it no matter the situation, but here’s where I hate the gadget plays: when we have a dominant drive, the other team can’t stop us running normal plays, and then on a random favorable down we give back 10 yards on some weird whacky shit

If the offense is struggling to generate anything and we try some goofy stuff, fine.

If we have Elijah Moore throwing the football (regardless of circumstance) or we ruin a great drive for seemingly no reason I will roast the “big brain” moves

Watch any Chiefs games?

I think that if you only try to catch the defense by surprise when things aren't working, then you'll never catch them by surprise. That's when they expect it.

Use everything at your disposal to keep the defense questioning themselves at all times. Much like we want the opposing QB to think our defense can call anything at any time, we want the opposing DC to feel the same way.

I just hate the after-the-fact stupid takes. An Njoku screen got sniffed out last week and like 10 different posters on here bitched about how it's the dumbest play call ever and it never works. Then layer in the game Njoku took one for like 20 yards and not a peep.

People just want to be miserable and say dumb shit--which is fine, but then they act like they're actually insightful and demand to be taken seriously, which is where I draw the line.

It’s funny you ask because that’s one of my biggest criticisms against Reid is how often he needlessly takes the ball out of the goat’s hands
Did you ever stop to think that maybe you're the one in the wrong?

It's just crazy to me that someone can look at one of the greatest offensive coaches of all time and one of the most successful offenses in NFL history and be convinced that you know better. If I look at the way they operate, I'm asking myself what I can learn from how they operate.

All i'll say about this game is if the Browns don't win today, they are not finishing the season above .500.

This is one of the games on the schedule you either win, or you're not a contending team.

No, why would it?

I do think there’s a sense among a lot of fans, and I’m very guilty of this as well at times, that every single pass, every single run, every single catch, every single block, every single tackle, every single play call, every single scheme and concept, etc should always been 100% perfect, 100% of the time.

In baseball we’ve been conditioned for a hundred plus years that failing seven out of 10 times is still great.

But it’s not that way in football. We’re much harder on individual plays IMO. Mahomes who is arguably the most talented player to ever play the position has a career success rate of 53.3%, ya know?

I also think that people use a microscope when they shouldn't.

Often times a single play is uses to build a more complete offense. You might use a specific action or play in the first quarter to set up a play in the fourth--yet that's missed by most.
