Week 7: Browns @ Colts 1PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Two straight games where the Browns win where the historically lose.
Steichen had Mid-shew looking like a bootleg Jalen Hurts. I want Shane back in Philly ASAP.

The offense is ass. Taking Watson out is the right move if he can't throw. And even though PJ Tucker is routinely slow with throwing the ball, misses the wide open guy in reads, etc. Somehow he pulled out a drive, even if ref-assisted.

People who call the Eagles "cheaters" for actually having the personnel for getting 1 fucking yard in pinch.... can eat a pile of stegosaurus shit. THAT is why you shove.

And I'm not even talking about the goal to go at the end. Throwing it was the right thing to do with that time on the clock and no timeouts, but just don't turn the damn ball over. Save it for 4th down if you can get there. They did, and got the TD leaving Colts with no time left.

I don't know what the reason is, but Stefanski + Watson (health aside) is just not right. He needs to take the Reid/Vick approach and get this dude into some regular rhythm before going gangbusters. I don't even blame that pick on Watson, the DB made a play he didn't anticipate.

Defense has a huge problem with motion and RPO-using offenses. They gave up 2x the points and more than they allowed vs San Francisco. BUT.... Myles Garrett is the Dawg of Dawgs, and he and the rest of the guys gave the Browns a chance the win that shouldn't really have been there.

And yeah, the refs actually bailed out the Browns. They still had to do something after that. Same was true last week.

I don't know what it is about PJ Walker. Will have the worst box score ever but gets the W. LOL

I actually think he does quite resemble how PJ Tucker would play QB (all of the bad ways, all of the too-slow-ways, and all of the tough-it-out ones). :chuckle:

Whoops, should have edited that. But that's fine. PJ Tucker it is!

Im wondering if Watson passed concussion protocol, but still didn’t feel right? There is some gray area there and maybe Stefanski didn’t want a Tua situation on his hands?

His shoulder is the problem. he can't throw with any zip or accuracy and he knows it. That is also hurting his confidence, rightfully so when he knows in his head and his heart that he can't perform up to standards.

If you think the Browns are about to give someone else NOT named PJ Walker the snaps if Watson is done, you’re delusional.

Switching to somebody off the streets now is how you lose the locker room.

At least until PJ loses a game :chuckle:

Brissett is the only option. He knows the offense. He won't cost much. Trading for Cousins or signing someone else, doesn't make any sense. Too late in the season for that.

That drive was basically all gift. We earned 1 yard in the last 5 plays ran

Yeah, I mean, he made like two good throws. I don't think we can use that, and want to take a risk with our season with him.

There's a reason he was not signed, because he's not good. He's like a bottom tier backup. And that's being nice.

He couldn't lift his shoulder. It's apparent, it was still not good enough to play. Yeah, he was throwing passes in practice, but this is an NFL game.

None of his throws looked right, at all. I really doubt he's going to play next week, or the week after. His shoulder may have regressed during the game. I don't know if he got hit again, but he didn't look right, not even close as soon as the game started. First throw went straight into the dirt, and didn't even look like it was a spiral.

We are in a seriously bad spot. This is why the Browns got to try to get Brissett (if we can). We can't afford to just squander this season.

Let Watson sit till he's healthy, bring in someone that won't fuck things up, and hope the season isn't a complete cluster fuck.
