Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Here's a question. Chris Johnson has been horrible this season so far. I'm sure it's because he's just not in game shape yet because of the hold out. Should I bench him this week or keep holding out hope that he finally turns it on?

Chris Johnson
Legarrette Blount
Dwayne Bowe
Anquan Boldin
Jahvid Best
Fred Jackson

Pick 2 RBs and 1 Flex from that list.

I'm leaning towards benching Johnson this week and trotting out Best, Blount, and Jackson. What do you guys think?

The scoring is pretty standard except for our QBs (which isn't an issue here). It's not PPR.

No PPR, I'd go with Bowe over Best... Until Best can prove to be a decent RB option in a non-PPR league

Best has been beasting for me so far in my non PPR league.

Same besides he's been riding my bench since my other 2 RB's are also beasting and are better.

But he's my only other RB or else I would use him in a trade. Maybe I will throw up a trade and see if people on here approve before I offer it and get embarassed.

Javid Best has always been a top 20 running back from the neck down. The reason I didn't draft him is his soft infant skull and tendency to get concussions. We will have to see if the NFL stands its ground with mandatory missed games even for minor concussions. But when healthy, start away.

So out of Ray Rice, Gore, Tolbert, Beanie, Sproles, and Tate... pick three. Goddamn that is an embarrassment of riches.

Do you think I should bench Chris Johnson? That's the real dilemma I'm having right now, I know he's one of the best RBs in football, but he's just been netting me nothing so far this year. I'm actually surprised that I've managed to win both of my games with him playing so poorly.

I would probably go with Rice, Gore, and Beanie. Rice and Gore because they are just the most talented of the bunch (in my opinion) and Beanie because he's going to be playing an incredibly sad Seattle defense. Rice seems like the real no brainer of the bunch though.

No don't bench Chris Johnson. People over think fantasy, you gotta play your best players. CJ had over 20 touches last week, the Ravens just stuffed him. He'll get back on track. Probably start Blount and Best as the other two, but I like Jackson also.

And the guy who is thinking about benching Romo this week.... No. I know its kind of risky, but Romo has been a beast in fantasy so far, even against the jets.

Not really. Gonzo got me more points than Romo last week.

So should I play Romo or Fitz at this point? Are you kidding? I'm going Fitz/Nelson over Romo/Bryant. I have to. It's the safe play.

2 RB spots, 3 solid RBs to choose from (return yards count):

D. Sproles vs. Houston
MJD vs. Carolina
Ben Tate vs. NO

Tate's been trade worthy so far, but no one's biting yet, so this is my last legit shot to get any use out of him on my team before someone tries to scoop him up (before Foster gets back more and more). MJD hasn't been fantastic, but serviceable...though, as a 1st round pick, he should be doing better. Sproles has been a machine on receptions and returns yard, but only 24 rushing.

Not really? What the hell are you talking about? He has had 300 yds and two tds both games.

(I'm in a 14 person league, mind you.)

Marshawn Lynch is on waivers. Should I take the risk to pick him up?

My RB's right now are AP, Stephen Jackson, Danny Woodhead, Ben Tate, and Jonathon Stewart.

(Bench right now is Woodhead, Tate, Stewart, Sidney Rice, Peyton Manning, and Gaffney.)

By the way, started Maclin, AP, and Gronkowski last week.. got a huge win on their backs. (Fuck you Joe Flacco.)

Benching Chris Johnson is about as defensible as me benching Gore. If you have two other RBs who are expected to be top 10 players, you can bench him and wait for him to start producing. Nobody would blame you for green lighting Fred Jackson and Best. If you are benching him in favor of a substantially inferior player like Blount, don't do it.

I own two of those three players, and I'd go with MoJo and Tate this week. MoJo is a proven entity on an offense that is breaking in a new quarterback. He should be leaned on heavily in checkdowns. Tate seems like a player on the cusp of something big. At worst, he is going to be nabbing 1/3 of the plays when Foster does return. While Foster is out, Tate is your best running back.

I like Sproles as depth, but not so much as an everyday starter. His value is around that of a top WR3, like Julio Jones or Jordy Nelson. His receptions are a PPR dream, but you need him to pop a touchdown to be more valuable than MoJo and Tate this week.

Ok, real question.

Texans D vs NO or Bears D vs GB. I'm between a rock and a hard place. I may just drop one of them to grab another D off the waivers.

And in all seriousness, am I crazy for wanting to play Fitz/Nelson instead of Romo/Bryant?

I like the Texans D and came close to picking them up myself. Then I noticed SD was playing the worst team in the league and snatched them up instead. NE has a troubled secondary, but they also did just enough against SD to shut out Gates and get the win. Never underestimate Belicheck's defensive schemes.
