Welcome 8th Pick from Brooklyn

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Meaningless poll, but lets play....where will the pick end up after the lottery?

For who?

Who is on your list of players likely to be available that you'd trade that pick for?

For example I'd love Bledsoe or Thad Young but no way in hell am I trading the Nets pick for either.

So besides Cousins, who's on your list?

Delly

Currently there is no one available worth the pick and I honestly don't think Cousins is worth the pick. Cousins is a great player but hes not a winning player and he's s head case. Closer to deadline we should have a better idea on if someone unexpected becomes available but currently there is no one worth the pick.

Just a reminder....2013-14 Sixers started 3-0 and 4-2 before finally finishing 19-63. Nets have plenty of time to make that pick numero-uno.

They also tanked

Everyone has to keep in mind in a sea full of teams that are trying to tank the nets have no reason to

In a year like this with the Suns, Bulls, and other shitty teams running amuck that just can't be understated

All the Nets have to do is win 30 games and this pick is out of the top five. With all the horrible teams out there tanking, just trying hard the whole season is probably worth 6-8 games at least.

I would trade this pick for DeMarcus Cousins yesterday if he would re-sign here, I think you'd be crazy not to honestly. But all the draft lovers should rest easy, Gilbert's not doing that. The difference between a rookie contract and re-signing Cousins at the max is probably close to $100 million with the tax.

Kevin Love wasn't a winning player. Kyrie Irving wasn't a winning player.

I'm not going to judge Cousins because he played for a dumpster fire with the Kings and now the Pelicans who are giving max contracts to Jrue Holiday.

For those worried about lotto placing even if the cavs pick first overall, they will still draft the 5th best player at best in the draft. So probably shouldn't worry about it too much whilst gilbert's instincts are involved

Kevin nor Kyrie were unstable on the court like DeMarcus is. DeMarcus is a walking technical I cant imagine having to count on him in big situations with his short fuse it wouldn't be pretty.

DeMarcus is a great individual talent no one will deny that. But he is all about himself though. Hes gonna get his and if he doesn't he pouts like a baby. Not worth the risk to trade our best asset for an expiring mental midget with rage issues.

On this team I don't think he'd have any more attitude than Draymond and could definitely see him having a lot less actually since there's a good chance he'd actually have fun winning on this team. Regardless, Dray's not exactly hurting GS...

And whether on the Kings or Pelicans, the GSW have had a lot of issues trying to stop this guy. Not to mention he plays defense and once IT gets back, you cannot have KLove as your last line of defense. Oh yeah, he can also shoot the three and along with Love, provide some great spacing.

Unfortunately the Brooklyn pick won't get it done if the Nets win more than expected and i'm not sure i'd want to do the pick plus Love... may not be available anyway.

Its early but the Nets are scoring much more than expected which could lead to more unexpected wins

The only person I'd trade that pick for is Cousins who I think we can ultimately get. He's unstoppable against the Warriors and I've watched him. He's an improved 3 point threat. He has a great inside and outside. His defense is also noticeably better. Still, his attitude would need to be checked by LeBron

Last year lottery teams (minus Miami and Denver) averaged .451 at home and .285 on the road, for ~30-52

17 of those winnable games are at home, 18 are road. Let's say 60% of home games, 40% of road games, or flush. ~17-18

22 of should lose games are at home, 22 are road. Let's say they win 25% of home games and 10% of road games. ~8-36

That's an adjusted 25-54

Add on the 2-1 and I see Brooklyn winning going 27-55. Last year that would be good for the 4th best odds. This year that probably falls around 6.

You guys are way too optimistic. Nets will be a borderline playoff team in my opinion.

I just wish we had the option to flip picks with the Lakers pick the Celtics get.
