Welcome 8th Pick from Brooklyn

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Meaningless poll, but lets play....where will the pick end up after the lottery?

I don't see that happening. Either Love would have to be traded or maybe we can get lucky and get in front of the Suns in the lottery.

Would you trade Love for a pick in the 9-12 range?

I would have to get another impact player in return that can stretch the floor very well along with a pick and then some.

Clippers traded Griffin for Harris, 12-13th pick in the draft and Avery Bradley right? Love should get you a bit more, but that's a package that i'd definitely look into.

A dynamic 4/Stretch 4, a high pick in a stacked draft and a lockdown defender at the point of attack like Patrick Beverley.

I wouldn't mind Jevon Carer, but we need to get a PG for the future and a replacement at the 4+another pick.

The same dude who got pissed on by a mediocre Buffalo team...seriously, don't get me started on this we'll clog up the next 5 pages. I'd rather have Dwight, and I'm only half kidding :chuckle:

If a team drafts Ayton and has him guard NBA threes night in and night out, which is essentially what happened in that Buffalo game, the results aren't going to be good.

Ayton had a Ben Simmons at LSU experience at Arizona this year. He was there but he wasn't really there. I mean he did take $100k just to go there. He declared for the draft less than 24 hours after they were eliminated.

Maybe he's better than what he showed in college and maybe he's not...I'd rather take one of the hyper-talented guys who's actually proven he can play winning basketball.

I fully expect NBA teams to go small against Ayton and roast him. Same thing that stops a lot of giant centers from being as effective as expected in the modern NBA.

He has the athleticism and quickness to avoid being one of those centers. Just a matter of putting it together.

Ben Simmons didn't play winning basketball. Ayton went to Arizona because he made $100k. His coach there is a douche. It's hard to really put a lot of stock into winning with these one and done's. I understand it but the winning argument is how people talk themselves into Brandon Knight over Kyrie Irving or De'Aaron Fox over Lonzo ball.

I gave you a like and then I saw you dissed Fox so I took it back.

De'EyEyron Fox is a damn bae and a true winner. He helped our pick numerous times by himself with his clutchness. Take a bow.

Lonzo Ball's style is detrimental to playoffs basketball until he fixes his shot.

One of these comparisons is not like the other....

What do you mean "putting it together"? His athleticism and quickness couldn't save him from being one of "those centers" at the college level. How will they save him at the NBA level, where his size/athleticism advantage will be much smaller?

I don't think that's a great comparison...LSU underperformed with Simmons, but not like Arizona this year. Arizona was #3 in the preseason poll, supposed to be a real championship contender. Even going into the tourney they were a trendy pick to make a deep run. I think a lot of people are still in shock about how bad they ended up being, more so than they ever were about LSU.

Lol @Los216 you gotta stop sneaking Ball into conversations like that like he's actually good

You got your W with Dwight, don't push it

He's a more impactful player than Fox is. There were people saying you couldn't draft him over Fox because he lost head to head. I remember people reaching about how Brandon Knight was a 4.0 student and he plays hard so you had to consider taking Derrick Williams and the Knight and passing on Kyrie.

Not really. Love is going to turn 30 and we have a few holes we need to fix. This would be our last opportunity of trading him before he loses tons of value. I know how good he can be, but sometimes you gotta make the hard choices.

This defense as constructed will not work. We need more pieces and we can still be an elite offensive team without Love.

It depends where the Nets pick ends up and what we decide to do with it. But I'm thinking about the short and the long term as well.

We have no PG for the future and probably not even good enough for the short term.

To be fair, we did get lucky that Kyrie kept his sanity long enough to help us win a championship :chuckle:

I believe Love can easily play at a high level for 4-5 years . Re upping will be in the cards when the time comes .
