Welcome 8th Pick from Brooklyn

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Meaningless poll, but lets play....where will the pick end up after the lottery?

I don't follow the college game enough to know who's the best bet. Wherever we land I hope we get a solid talent. Find us a Mitchell or Giannis. Get it right, no TT's, Bennetts, Dions, other headcases, etc. There may be better examples but you get my point.

Zizic looks like a decent prospect, but he should not influence who the Cavs draft at all.

If we end up with too many talented NBA caliber big men, then I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Seems like a good problem to have.

Mo Bamba is working out with @DrewHanlen in LA and appears to have made some adjustments to his shooting mechanics. Here he is knocking down 9 3-pointers in a row. Pretty impressive stuff from a 7-footer with a 7'9 wingspan. Can't wait to get out there and it in person.

Bamba has a small backwards hitch that if he remove it could speed up his release and accuracy. Don't want him doing too good though need him to fall to us

So only draft undervalued hidden gems and don't draft flops. Sounds doable.

This happened because the gm's we had decided to reach. Neither of Tristan, Waiters, or Bennet should have been pick where they were, even in those bad draft classes. That said, if the front office find a way to screw up in this deep draft, people need to be fired.

That's a pretty nice looking jumper from a 7ft defensive specialist with a 7'9 wingspan

Nah, this form is absolutely ridiculous for a guy his size. it looks completely different than how it did in Texas.

I don't think there is a way he slips to us after the workouts... he is going to crush them. Such a fucking shame that we didn't get the 7th pick and we basically controlled it.

Also, just please listen to one of his interviews...very high IQ guy. A guy you want on your team.

Yeah that stroke looks ridiculous... Imagine if he can become a 36% if not higher in just a few years with all his other skills... Hell this may put him ahead of JJJ on some boards now if his jumper is on like that at the workouts

All these analytics models I'm seeing from people have Bamba as like the 9th or 10th best prospect, and, to be perfectly honest, that's just absurd.

Well, if I add in those 9 threes that raises his 3-point percentage from 27.5% to 38.3%. Should I do that? Doesn't seem fair to the other prospects :chuckle:

Lol, let's just say I'd bet money on Bamba being a better player than Jontay Porter

I'd probably take that bet.

That said, I do realize that there's more to evaluating prospects than just looking at the box score. Good shooting mechanics, and good off-court character are both major positives (that Bamba and Jontay happen to share, for what it's worth).
