Meaningless poll, but lets play....where will the pick end up after the lottery?

Watching the ball handling, footwork, length, and ability to get contested shits off that go along with his overall smooth shot, it’s hard to imagine him not being a really good player unless he completely loses his confidence and looseness early in his career.

I know...

This is one of the reasons I wanted to get another pick and draft this guy.

Imagine coming up with Sexton and Huerter. Wonder if it was possible to still get Sexton at 12 and trade down with the 13th pick(Clippers 12/13) and draft Huerter. Might not be popular opinion, but even trade Love to get another lottery pick or trade up using our own 25th pick+something else.

I know his face and hair don't project well to some people lol, but guy is baller. Imo, a more complete basketball player than Klay was coming out of Washington. Doesn't have the same frame(Although his frame is not bad either) or length, but he can still shoot over people effortlessly.

Whether he makes it or not...he has almost everything I want in a SG. And the guy is one of the most efficient shooters on all 3 levels in college...whether it was off the dribble or in catch and shoot. His step back was money.

Anyways, I wish him luck as a Hawk. Trae and him are going to make them very enjoyable to watch.

Sexton ok looked but I thought the pick should have been Mikal Bridges.

I hope we didnt miss out. I just dont know how u pass up on that kind of shooting. Really think he has klay thompson potential.

Ahhh well, hope sexton fixes that ugly ass jumper.

I still dont get the hype with Bridges. His ceiling is Trevor Ariza. Sexton has a much higher ceiling. Suns are even talking about playing Bridges as a stretch 4 next to Ayton. So please explain why your high on Bridges? Is it cause he has the higher floor? Cause his ceiling isnt nearly as high as the other players in the lotto.

Trevor Ariza never shot as well as Bridges.

If you’re saying Ariza defensively with an Elite shooting? Thats an allstar who can play on the floor in all situations.

The dude is 6” 8’, awesome wing span and shoots coming off screens like klay and korver.

Im telling ya, elite shooting w his defensive potential, u got an elite player.

His shooting is overrated he got so many easy looks at Villanova. His defense is also slightly overrated.

Hes the same damn player as Bates-Diops he was just on a much better college team then Bates-Diops. 3 and D players who cant create for themselves or others grow on trees. If he had any playmaking skills I would get the hype with him but he isn't a playmaker. Hes strictly a catch and shoot offensive player who wont get the easy looks he got at Nova in the NBA.

Bridges is 6'6 and is rail thin with very weak lower body who can't create or playmake. That's the issue. You don't pick someone like him with the 8th pick.

Chandler Hutchison was picked at 22th and he has a high ceiling.

His shooting didnt look overrated from NBA 3pt line last night. Sure it’s summer league but elite shooting is a skill that transfers.

His defense is very solid and w his wingspan can be elite. He’s deceptively strong for his bulid.

Klay Thompson is an elite catch and shoot guy w fantastic defense. He can put the ball on the floor a little bit.

I think Bridges is going to be Ariza with Incredibly elite shooting. I think he’s the type of player teams covet and exactly who you need in the modern nba. Guard 4 positions, switch, hit open 3s at a high rate.

Btw if we had actual trevor ariza in 17 finals, i think we would have won.

But Mikal is a complementary piece yes or no?

When you know LBJ is leaving which I believe the Cavaliers knew you don't take the role player. You mentioned Klay he may be an all star but he's still dependent on what's around him.

Bridges was basically Klay at Nova. Perfect situation around him to get easy looks like Klay on the Warriors. If you take Klay off GS and throw him on Orlando with no help do you still think he's gonna shoot 44 percent from 3 like he did this last season?

So again why would you wanna take a player who is dependent on others for offensive success in the top 10?

No. Mikal Bridges is clearly a better shooter than Bates-Diop and it’s really not that close. Kind of a lazy comparison but I’m assuming since he’s from OSU that’s why you did it.

Is klay a complimentary piece? Maybe? Look at 60 win hawks, they built an entire offense around korver’s shooting.

I think a team could build an offense around an elite shooter like klay. Plus his defensive ability.

You would need guys to get Bridges open looks but a lot of dudes can drive and kick.

Is kevin love an all star? He needs to get setup for offense.

I just think dudes like bridges fit mold of where nba is headed. I think his shooting is so elite it separates him from the pack.

Hes not a Klay level shooter. And on another team Klays defense would surely suffer due to him exerting more energy on offense. Klay is the ultimate conplimentry piece because he can go 100 percent on defense and hit all the open looks he gets by playing next to Curry and Durant.

His shooting isn't that elite. He got so many wide open looks at Nova. Do you not realize how easy it is to hit a open 3 compared to trying to hit one with someone in your face? Come regular season Bridges is gonna get a rude welcome to the NBA.

I loved Mikal and wanted him at 8 when I thought we were keeping LeBron. Fact is we needed someone who could create offense.

I think Mikal is going to be very successful. He's a hard worker, so maybe he does end up as a guy that can get his and create for others. I don't think he was the right pick for the Cavs, but he is going to be rock solid for years

Is this a serious post? Any NBA offense worth a shit in 2018 is trying to generate open looks from 3pt. The amount of guys who shoot 3s w defenders in their face is very small.

You just watched a team for 4 years that was predicted on creating open 3 point shots.

Mikal bridges was a far superior 3pt shooter in college his final year than klay.
