Welcome Deron Williams

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah I had higher hopes for Deron but ain't seeing it happen. He's hardly doing anything that matters. That one recent game where he coughed it up like three times quickly come to mind, wtf. I'd have Liggens in there more letting him do his thing.

He has abilities but he's being terribly misused. Not surprising coming from this goofball of a coach.

He should be playing PnR with LeBron and Tristan over and over. But instead he comes in with Irving and watches him handle the ball.

They use him right, he'll be effective. They don't, and you'll notice his weaknesses more than his strengths.

Things have been out of whack ever since Deron showed up. IDK why or if it's anyone's fault but this is a fact.

Continually baffled at why he's sharing the court with Kyrie. Last night the telecast mentioned that Lue wants to start doing more of that. I don't get it.

He shouldn't play at all.

Dude needs to take shots. Our whole team for some reason has decided to pump fake the 3, dribble into a bad spot and take a dumbass mid ranger... It's like Frye and Deron have decided to play like Shump on offense.

Rob according to you we should run a lineup of

LeBron

coached by no one

Seriously man who should play?

Our best 2nd unit that went 9-1 dominating teams before Deron joined was LeBron playing PG with RJ,Williams,Korver,Shump or Frye if I recall correctly, most 6'7 guys that complement LeBron well, that lineup was also very good defensively, way better than the shit show of a 2nd unit we have now though

Why would you say that? The only people I don't want playing at all are shump and Deron. The other guys just piss me off. I really want derrick and liggins playing back up.

So far his only problems have been shooting, beating his man off the dribble, and defending... anyone.

I'm gonna need Bacon Grease to start being a threat... Don't need him overly aggressive but get fully engaged...

Since Lue is just too stupid to bench this guy or figure out a better way to use him, I unfortunately have to hope for an injury that will get him out of the lineup and Derrick Williams back out there. The bench unit was so much better with Derrick. Deron is just useless. It's like he's not even out there. Makes zero impact.

While I'm in this thread, what is Deron's +/- as a Cav? I feel like he's a huge reason to giving up runs, as is RJ. We really have to bench one of them.

Deron was awful, but we use him terribly as well. If all you want him to do is stand in the corner for 80% of the time, put Liggins in the corner and ratchet up the defense.

Why did we sign him to stand in the corner? I thought we needed another playmaker, and he was the guy?

He has never been used in this manner in his career, and he looks lost. We never pass him the damn ball, so he might as well just not even be there on offense (again, play Liggins).

Interesting when he was the only ball handler on the court in garbage time, he suddenly became aggressive and actually played way harder than when the game actually mattered (three plays in a row he attacked aggressively - resulted in a made jump shot, questionable charge, and free throws for Larry).

Simply put, we are not using him in a way he can be effective. We're asking him to basically play the same role as Liggins played when he was starting, and he's basically completely different from Liggins.

He's being used as a spot up shooter instead of the playmaker they went and got him for. Who's fault is that, Lue. They cried about having another playmaker but put him on floor with the two players on the team who almost always have to have the ball in their hands. Why not let Love run with him and the bench guys. I think we'll see the results everyone envisioned when Griff went out and signed him and of course it just makes more sense than running him with LeBron or Kyrie.
