"We're 28-10, we're good."

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Cleveland's coaching staff isn't giving James the best chance to be successful.

I doubt that.

I'm pretty sure, as BW stated, LeBron is breaking plays off and doing LeIso on his own.

Now on the matter of what the coaches should do about it is a whole 'nother issue....

Sit LeBron? :chuckles:

Here is the master plan.... Let him do whatever he wants until he signs an extension this offseason. Then fire MB and bring a respected coach with some balls in here that demands LBJ listens to him. :dunno:

. . . unless MB wins the sausage this season. Then he comes back and tries to lay down the law next year.

Yeah, I'm actually with you on this. I think MB is trying his best not to be the reason LeBron walks away, and on a certain level, I can't blame the guy. Must really be a fine line to walk sometimes.

LeBron definately pushes the envelope on his authority at times, specifically when deciding what play to run in the huddle or when changing the play on-court in crunch time. I'm happy that the players "have input" as Windy likes to report, but there are times that it looks like LeBron is making decisions on his own, and I get a bit concerned about that.

I get what you're saying but winning wasn't what hurt us last season, it was the fact that we couldn't beat the elite teams. The difference this season is that we are beating the elite teams but dropping games that we would have easily won last season. That indicated to me a lack of focus and a perception that the defensive intensity can be switched on at any moment. This is a better team then last year and is better prepared to matchup with the top teams in the playoffs. I just don't want to see opportunities to grab that one seed taken for granted. You give this version of the Cavs home court throughout the playoffs and I think we have a much better result then last season. It wasn't just necessarily you that I was addressing here Rab. I have heard the "it doesn't matter until the playoffs" argument rehashed many times after losing to teams that we shouldn't have.

Giving up games throughout the season is unavoidable, especially these gimme games. Can't do much about that. All I know is that this attitude didn't cost the Lakers last year, right?

If we manage to win more than we lose, we should be able to have the #1 or #2. Boston is going to cost some games just because their roster looks less flexible than ours while Orlando doesn't have a winning attitude even close to ours (one that can execute like ours). Whatever problems they have now will be much greater than the ones we have simply because of those current deficiencies.

Try not to let these games get to you. If we lose some of them (like the Bobcats or Nuggets), our responses should prevent us from having a horrible seeding (I don't expect us to lose 3 straight for example). We're still on pace for 60 wins. If we manage to do better for the rest of the year, then much more than 60 (like 63-65) is still feasible.

I trust in this team. They won't let opportunities fly by. LeBron is too good not only as a player but also as a leader (and we have other motivators on this team, Mike Brown would be one and the deal-making of Ferry is another).

I don't buy that article at all. I sort of followed his viewpoint about how the Cavs aren't always maximizing LeBron's unique skill set, but then he compared it to the offense Kobe plays within and seemed to suggest that Kobe's offense ALWAYS looks the same way.

And that's pure and utter bullshit. Did he not watch the Lakers play the Cavs this year? That game was Kobe iso all-day every-day. The problem with non-beat writers writing about professional basketball players is that they make broad generalizations based on watching them in one game.

At this point, I can really only follow Windy anymore because so much ignorant crap gets spewed elsewhere.
