Western Conference Finals - (1) Los Angeles Lakers vs (3) Phoenix Suns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
a week should do Bynum some good ... Amar'e struggles against that front court and if they do not double, they should be fine. Take care of home court ...... steal one on the road

And what I am reeeeeeeeeeeeeally loving is that I see the Road Warriors (not Hawk and Animal) from last year.

Closed out OKC on the road and did the same in Utah.

This is a different Suns team from the run n gun squads coached by D'Antoni.

I didn't know Gentry's Suns well enough and didn't give them enough credit. Gentry lets Stoudemire and Nash generate offense, while the rest defend and rebound.

Gentry's Suns can give the Lakers serious problems where you knew D'Antoni's Suns would fold.

Go Phoenix.

Lakers in 5 or 6. Won't be a cakewalk but the Lakers are focused right now. Kobe has gotten healthier throughout the playoffs. The rest will do him and the team wonders.

Love the Suns, would love to see Nash hold the Larry O'Brien.. but.. they have no shot here. Lakers in 5.

Can't say I disagree.

It was a real shocker that the Spurs played so flat in the second round after upsetting Dallas in the first round.

LA will likely go back to the Finals, but its route hasn't been the hardest. The Lakers' bench and hunger are major question marks, especially the bench.

This year's Magic strike me as being a more formidable team than last year.

Lakers just play smart, they should be fine ........

Man, Bynum is made of Paper Machéte - The guy said that his knees are WORSE after a week of rest. Hopefully the guy can just stand straight up in this series with his hands up. He'll have plenty of rest once the playoffs are over.

Anyway, I'm looking to see domination of the boards by the Lakers this game, and control of the tempo. If we can exert our size, like we did in game 1 vs. OKC, we should demoralize them for the entire series.

8 points and 10 rebounds ...... if they can get that from him, they should be straight.

This series is not going to be as easy as all these Lakers fans think. They're so blinded by that purple and gold that they don't see the injuries and they don't see the lack of depth.

Lopez returns to the starting line-up tonight giving the Suns some much needed size to help battle against those trees in the Lakers front line.

he will help. he will keep Amar'e from getting in foul trouble. If Amar'e is guarding Gasol or ynum straight up, it's either going to be a dunk, turn around jumper, missed attempt or a foul. And I think Gentry is going to want Amar'e to go with the first three.

He's no good to the Suns on the bench.

Lakers have got to play the pick and roll. Turn the pick and roll into a pick and pop and stay on the shooters. Wide open threes will kill any team.

Yep. And as always, when it comes down to such a dramatic contrast in the styles of play, it's a matter of who can impose their style on the other. The Suns want to play sniper and pick you apart from the perimeter at as hectic a tempo as possible. The Lakers want to maul and murder you from inside with superior size and length.

You'd have to assume the Lakers will be able to impose their style easier than the Suns over the course of the series, but stranger things have happened. I believe it winds up being a tighter match-up than people are expecting. Really looking forward to this.

A ridiculously thorough look at Phoenix's postseason tendencies, including points and margin per quarter, second chance points, rebounding margins, inefficiencies on two-point jumpshots, Steve Nash by quarter, the distribution of his assists, and his hands on points. Enjoy...

Hoping Bynum plays so great that the Lakers won't want to trade him, or so shitty that no one wants him... Thus, helping the Cavs have a better shot at any possible Sign and Trade's...

Lakers in 5.
