I think he'd be a solid addition as he can play 1, 2, and the 3 spots effectively. Hes distributes, rebounds, shoots is great and is a very good defender. not to mention hes only 26 years old.
TBH I think he could even be our starting 2, moving delonte to the bench.

Hes got a long contract, but a team like sac is probably only looking for expirings for him.
Anyone know how much hes paid per year? ESPN trade maching says 1.9 mil...

His game is sort of like Anthony Parkers, only hes 6'7 and 7 years younger.

who the hell is this garcia? just wondering

Garcia is a really good player, someone I'd love to have on the Cavaliers, but his contract is horrific...

I LOVE Fransisco Garcia.

He's 6'7", plays the 1, 2 and 3, defends the perimeter, everything you would want (sorry to reiterate liquidfire)

I think the best part is his contract... we get all of this for four years (and a team option), at the low price of about $2 million. To have that kind of talent for that long at that price is just awesome to me.

Assume you're kidding about the contract...

2009 - 2010: $5.8MM
2010 - 2011: $5.5MM
2011 - 2012: $5.8MM
2012 - 2013: $6.1MM
2013 - 2014: $6.4MM Team Option

contract isnt the best, but hes a great fit forsure.

why does ESPN trade maching say 1.9 mill?

anyways, anyway we could get him without giving a key player?
Im thinking maybe S&T wally for 1 mill at 5 mill or so?

Yeah.. no thanks.

Possible they cut him a new contract. Espn wont update anything until the Super Bowl is over.

Im pretty sure I can flip through the threads on this forum and find a few players -- some even older -- that Cavs' fans wouldn't mind signing to a contract very similar to what Garcia is making.

With Tyreke Evans in Sacramento, you can bet they will try and move Garcia or the oft-injured Martin.

His contract jumps because he signed an extension from his rookie scale contract.

Martin is still the face of the franchise in Sacramento. He isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

I like Garcia.. Boobie and him signed similar deals.. if we could dump Gibson for him I wouldn't mind..but Sactown would be stupid to do that.

Garcia's a very versatile player that would fit very well with the Cavs. He gets very close to averaging a three, block and a steal every game, put up good numbers once Salmons was traded, and plays very good defense. He's what we're hoping Danny Green will turn into. If we can trade Gibson for Garcia straight up... why not?

Would you give up Green and Gibson to get him or would you prefer we stand pat with Green?
