What Do You Do For Work?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
@DonGilbert that's the exact type of subbing I did for a number of years. I wanted to teach full-time, but I didn't have the social or classroom management skills. I learned I was much better at one-on-one tutoring, which I did a couple of times in the last few years. I'm a SAHM now, but I'm thankful for all the preparation I had with teaching and tutoring.

I think I'm going to try to get into accounting and im terrified.

I haven't had a 9-5 in a decade, not a fan of office politics and have been out of school for 6 years. But what I'm doing is just too stressful.

Previously worked in HR for a massive tech company, now an HR business partner.

Fun fact: I work with Koby Altman’s brother-in-law.

Wats a good entry level job?Yo bro so look I did a budget of when/if my parents move back to Poland and I decide to stay. I looked at apartments around Itasca,Schaumburg areas and theyre minimum $1,100 a month, add 200 to utilities and 100 to renters insurance. Then Ideally I’d move close to my job so let’s say car gas(fuel) would be around 200 a month. Idk how much I’d spend on food so let’s say 200-300(lmk what you think about this) then 50 for cellphone 50 for gym membership. Then let’s say I have to get a car(look at previousu message) thhat’s like x ammount for down paymentn + ~300 a month . Hygine 150$ a month. All together comes out to around $2,600 a month. I can get a job payying $25 hr in about a month whiich iis $3,200 /mo after taxes. I’d live with parents till th ey move so II can save money. Am I retarded?
If your paying $100 a month for renters insurance, you messed up somewhere.
I'm paying $95 for a year of renters insurance (via State Farm). I also have my auto insurance via State Farm at this point so that helped to reduce the renter's insurance cost by about $10.

Gym membership... dump it. Unless you needing it for breaking into a professional sports career its a nice to have after other needs are addressed. Sounds like your not at that point.

I have worked in accounting/finance and audit for 20 years in NYC. It is a great profession to work within, killer hours though...
