first pryor.....

1. Find another position he wont be a good QB under tressel.

2. transfer to another school... where the coach will use him properly.

3. switch to b-ball... u have to wonder... does matta still want him?

OSU.....

1. find a quarterback, that fits tressel's type of play calling/game.

2. get another coach/off. coordinator/qb coach/clean house

in all i dont see this Pryor/OSU relationship workin out unless....

1. Tressel changes his game to fit Pryor.

2. OSU gets new coach/off. coordinator/qb coach/clean house.

what do u think.

Will not happen. Neither one.

The unfortunate truth is that Pryor is the best QB OSU has, and will be for the duration of his tenure here.

There's no denying he's bad right now. But he's still only a sophomore. Having him transfer to WR would be idiotic right now.

This is Ohio States down year guys. Its going to be tough.

Yea if that qb likes to lineup in Shotgun the whole game and never line up and do Iformation or even single-back than hell fit in nicely.

What i watched of the game they were in Shotgun the whole game and it was basicly the same play. I never saw a play action or anything. God its frustrating.

No.. that will never happen, Pryor is young and is only in his 2nd year of college football, give him time to develop. OSU was supposed to have 2 losses anyways.

this is ridiculous, pryor is IMMENSELY gifted, and to not recognize that is foolish.. you will see, with more experience, and better and more experienced players around him, he will be deadly.

Pryor should move to WR for his own good. He'll never make it as a QB in the NFL, but he could be a top 10 WR with his size, speed, and just overall athletic ability. Essentially the next Randy Moss.

Of course, maybe he shouldn't be so concerned about making it in the NFL, but I sure as hell would be trying to find a way to make it to the NFL if I had his size and athletic ability. QB is simply not the answer.

Most great coaches will change their offensive philosophy to fit their new QB and his skills. Tressel has never done this and will not do it as seems obvious. That's on Tressel. I really don't see Pryor as a good fit for the offense no matter how much he improves. Yeah, OSU can constantly compete for the big ten title, but I don't see them winning the National Title with Tressel not budging on things. That's the problem as I see it.

Doug, i love you buddy, but this is just not correct.

Did you watch Ohio State with Smith and Ginn? The offense was essentially built around them, and the numbers show it. Tressel will slowly give Pryor more responsibility as he earns it. He just isn't ready yet. He's only a Sophomore and has a long way to go. The dude has a great arm and amazing athletic ability, just chill and ride through this rebuilding time, all teams have to go through it. I am willing to bet we'll have a National title by the time Pryor is out of here. That being next year or his senior year if he stays.

Our whole team is young and chalked full of potential, especially on the offensive side of the ball, when Pryor gets better, and he has more experience, Tressel will expand this offense to fit him. We are still finding our identity with this kid, he doesn't want to be a run-first QB, and Tressel is respecting that.

You'll see man, just keep the faith... I think we saw shades of the future with Pryor against Purdue in the 4th quarter, he had good zip on his passes, had some huge runs.. he just has to put it together for a full game, which will come..

What about the offense with Krenzel and Clarett, that was essentially build around Krenzel... It was a vintage-Tressel team because it was about ball control and defense, but it worked didn't it?

If he sucks next year, Im off the Pryor bandwagon. I'll keep one foot on until then, though, but Tressel still deserves some criticism as does Pryor who is regressing.

Why yes. You just said that Tressel conformed to Krenzel and to Smith. That's why I said he needs to conform to Pryor. I'm not sure what you said is different from what I said other than you are defending Tressel where I do NOT, and will not. I feel he's the problem. And when does a young QB become not a young QB anymore? Hasn't he started about 20 college games by now or so? I'm not so sure if his problems are because he is young, or if it's because he just doesn't have too much upstairs. Either way; the coaches need to run the offense that goes to the strengths of Pryor, and not keep on trying to convert the kid into a pro-style QB. He's not that.... at least not yet. The object should be to WIN the games and not to cater to whatever it might be that Pryor says he wants to do. That's not coaching at all. That's pandering and appeasing.

I'm not sure what some people are smoking, but Pryor is TERRIBLE. He is a freak athletically, but is awful at managing the game and makes ridiculously bad decisions. He had two fumbles yesterday that were a direct result of him not tucking the ball and trying to do too much. He should have had a third fumble when he optioned to Sayne a few yards behind him and didn't even look where he was pitching the ball. On his first interception he had clear room to run and launched the ball downfield to a receiver who wasn't even open. He threw a jump ball when there was no reason to. His last touchdown pass was also a jump ball that looked more like a punt than a pass.

I truly think another quarterback gives us the best chance to win. Our defense is awesome, they are just on the field too long. Purdue did not score any points off Pryor's first four turnovers, which says a lot in and of itself.

Stop drinking the cool-aid. Pryor has had about 15 starts, and has shown NO improvement. If anything I think he looks worse than when he first started and relied solely on athletic ability. I do not see him ever being a decent quarterback. I really think the kid is just dumb. He clearly can't handle the pressure of being quarterback against Ohio State.

That's it. My rant is over. God I hate when the Buckeyes lose, because I know the Browns will lose the following day.
