I don't see that one happening unless it is in a 3-way trade. It sounds like the Rockets are looking to trade for another piece to make a playoff run. I don't see how giving up Scola would help.

Im sure im in the minority as well, but he is fairly far down my list of players I want here. I might even rather stand pat then trade for him. Only if they sign him to an extension before trading him to us would I consider it. But personally Id love to improve at sg instead.

You are not giving the Cavs FO enough credit. We would never think about renting Amare for three months. We want to acquire him because we are VERY sure... 100% he will sign up long term immediately. Since both Amare AND LeBron are assuring both WILL sign up, Ferry is busy making it all happen.

Phoenix wants to trade him for whatever they can get because they don't want him opting in for another year, nor do they want him booking to another team for nothing at all. The Cavs have the position of power on their side.
