Why is Cowherd talking about Antwan Jamison and the Cavs?

Made a quick trip out somewhere, and I hear Cowherd ranting about how Shaq is only going to be short term, and he keeps saying Antwan while he talks about this deal. What's the relevance of this?

Z, Kinsey and pick 30 for Jamison.

We'd still have around $16 mil to offer someone next year before re-signing LeBron and Shaq, and possibly (but still unlikely) have the pieces to sign and trade Chris Bosh.

I don't find it likely that the Wizards added Foye to make a run so they could, in turn, flip Jamison to their biggest rival. Antawn isn't going anywhere.

Yea I heard this too.

IT SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME

I've listened to Cowherd quite a few times. He doesn't know crap about the NBA.

Jamison next to Shaq would actually fit quite nicely IMO. However, I think it's preference. Jamison is a better version of CV, but is older and cost more. I think I prefer the younger CV who still could improve into what Jamison is, or just below it.

Kinsey will prolly be gone after his dui arrest. After the stallworth ordeal in cleveland, I can't see the cavs keeping him. Possibly trading him but is his value the same after this? Doubt it.

Okay well lots of Cowherd haters here for some reason but he was praising the Shaq move but saying that it isn't a longterm solution. Then he followed up with something like "when I heard guys names like Antawn Jamison who don't have a lot of mileage left rumored to go to the Cavs, it makes it look like the Cavs are acting on desperation instead of building for the future."

We were rumored to be in talks with the Wiz for Jamison earlier so it was a logical example.

Cowterd is kinda funny, he claims to be part of a research co., ESPN, but 60-70% of his stuff is actually opinion.

Just in the last few weeks he says LA is the only NBA city that gets players to accept less $ to play, I quickly sent him an e-mail reminding him of Boobie and Delonte taking less to stay in Cleveland.

Yea, like he even knew!?!

He also had been running his mouth about how Shaq don't want to play in a cold weather city, after Shaq had already said he would be glad to come play for the Cavs and with Lebron.

I e-mailed him then, telling him to do a little more research! And this morning I reminded him about his silly misinformed opinions.

yeah, cowherd is interesting sometimes but he's also wrong a lot. Just yesterday he was ripping on US soccer, which promptly went out and beat the best team in the world. He's a big believer in the idea that nobody wants to play in cold weather, which he harps on a lot.

Hmmm, it does make sense because of what W&G said last night aka this morning. Jamison is one of those players really.

Cowherd can be an ass and a blowhard sometimes but I don't get my sports news or in depth commentary from him. Listening to him for 15 minutes on the way to work is almost always entertaining, he's not a great sports mind by any means but the dude's funny and does make some good points.
