OK... I know this sounds ridiculous, but how about this trade...

Z + Boobie + Jawad + Hickson + Cavs first rounder this year + some combination of Wally/Lorenzen to make salaries match for Arenas + Jamison + the Wizards first rounder this year.

Now, here's why I think it might make sense for the Wizards:

- First and foremost, they get rid of the Arenas headache - the deal obviously only makes sense for them if this is a huge priority - I'm guessing it might be
- Second, they dump a lot of salary
- They get some decent young pieces in JJ, Jawad, and Boobie

And why it might make sense for the Cavs:

- This assumes Z would get bought out and would come back... now, the Cavs go into the playoffs with a Lebron/Mo/Delonte/Parker/Moon/Andy/Shaq/Z/Jamison rotation... that team would be tough to beat this year
- That would leave them a rotation of Lebron/Mo/Delonte/Parker/Moon/Andy/Jamison/Wizards lottery pick/maybe Z as the start of a rotation for next year
- A solid shot at John Wall - can you imagine he and Lebron together for the next 10 years? The Cavs chances of putting a true star with Lebron are VERY slim - this scenario gives us at least a shot at that.
- I don't expect Arenas would ever play a game for the Cavs - but the added salary would be less of an issue since they would be getting what should be a top rotation player on the cheap out of the lottery pick.

Now, this is obviously far-fetched, and I know it's VERY unlikely, but I wonder if the Wizards wouldn't bite between financial considerations and the absolute PR nightmare that is the Arenas situation. And, from the Cavs standpoint, this trade is an incredible balance of setting us up to win now and to build for the future.

Your thoughts?

You want my thoughts????? You need to get evaluated, because you're fucking insane.

We trade our trade chips for a guy possibly suspended for the season? Plus he is a chucker who isn't very good.

Well, at least its posted in the correct forum....

That first post is looking for an automatic ban.

HAHA. Right there. Why would you continue the post? You made the biggest point, against yourself.

What makes you think we want the headache? Or the contract? Or the selfishness?

I thought we had Mo too.... I don't know maybe we need another PG. And another PG that can't play defense at that.

Just so we're all clear... I want Jamison and the shot at Wall - and I would absolutely give our trade chips for them. It just implies that we have to take Gilbert to get them. We don't ever have to play Gilbert. Now, if you still thinks it's a bad idea, have at it.

What the hell is this??? NBA 2k10 with Trade Override on?

Why in the world would the Wizards trade their first round pick? The reason that they've discussed trading Jamison and Butler is that they're entering a rebuilding phase. Keeping their first rounder makes a world of sense for them. There's no reason for them to trade it away.
