• The Milwaukee Bucks continue to make Bruce Bowen's $4 million expiring contract available, but word is no trade is close. If the Bucks don't strike a deal in the next two weeks, Bowen will be waived by Aug. 1 at a cost of just $2 million, making him a free agent sure to interest various rivals of the San Antonio Spurs since Bowen is not expected to return to the silver and black.

If/When Bowen is bought out would the Cavaliers have interest in signing him? I know he's a Ferry type guy but with the depth chart currently as is, is there room for him?

What are your thoughts?

Bowen is 38, he only played about 19 mins. a game last yr., 2.7 points and worst of all, his D is nowhere near what it used to be.

3 yrs. ago, sure. This year I think we can do better.

I think i he take the vet minimum he would be a decent pickup

I doubt it but it would be absolutely hilarious to have both Andy and Bowen on the same team. We might average 2 opposing player ejections a game.

I would kinda like him to be a vet who teaches Green and the Congo kid some tips and tricks. He is a fun type of guy and would certainly fit our roster. He still can play but an a fraction of what he used to be able to do. With his way of attracting techs along with Andy would be really fun to watch.

i don't want him he's done much like big ben he isn'T the defender anymore he once was

No thanks, we dont need anymore old guys

:chuckles:

That is true.

Im not sure about how you guys feel about him but I would really like him for a one year deal *(maybe with an option depending on how well he plays) to round out our roster. He is a very smart player and you have to like the fact he is a lock down defender and good three point shooter. You know he likes those corner threes. For a vet min or the BAE I think he would be worth it.

Re: Bruce Bowen

We're stacked at the wings. He's done. He's too old. He's not what he once was. His shot has suffered with age, and he can no longer defend very well.

Back-up PG or PF are the only things we should be looking at at this point.

Re: Bruce Bowen

I like defense

Great. He doesn't play it the way he used to. He's done, and there's no room for him in the rotation.
