What about Wilson Chandler? Right now he is playing great ball for NY; putting up 17 ppg, 5 rpg, and 2 bpg....and shooting about 45% from the field. Can shoot the close/mid-range shot....and isn't a bad 3 point shooter.

He's versatile at the SF and PF position, but I think he could help us out a lot at our weak SF spot. I don't know if NY would be interested in moving him since he is playing so well, but as of last year I do believe they were listening to offers.

What does everyone think? I think we would have to give up Graham, Moon, or Powe and probably a pick to make it happen...also would probably have to use part of the trade exception

Unfortunately Isaiah Thomas is no longer at the helm. The best bet in the league these days is Dumars or Kahn... Wilson Chandler putting up big numbers under D'Antoni is no big surprise though.

I would take him for Moon and maybe a 2nd round pick. Otherwise forget it. He isn't that good, just padding his stats in that system.

I wouldn't go to extreme lengths to get him either. I think Moon and a 2nd round pick for Chandler would be a good deal. But I disagree with you saying he isn't that good. He has been a pretty consistent throughout his 4 year career...he has improved in every statistic each year.

Plus, in the Princeton offense, he would get a ton of mid-range and shots around the basket where he thrives.

He's a stud, would love him here in Orlando where he wouldn't need to be relied upon to score/create.

Has improved greatly this year compared to past years... PER close to 18. He would be a huge upgrade for us at the SF spot, however New York isn't going to want any of the garbage we have to offer...

Moon and Chandler have virtually the same amount left on their contract, in hopes that would make the idea more attractive, but the contract won't play a factor. Another idea that could work could be getting rid of Parker...I don't know how everyone would feel about that right now, but he is an expiring contract; which is something to look at.

Yeah sure an up and coming player for an old washed up guy

He's one of the guys I'd love to get. He just does pretty much everything well and has started blocking shots averaging over 2 per game so far. Hopefully when the Melo trade comes up again we end up as the third team and end up with Chandler somehow.

I just was thinking about this the only team I see as of right now that would love to get Jamison is New York. I was thinking many we get both Tony Douglas and Wilson Chandler for Antwan because Jamisons playing very good so far and is showing helping add trade value every game. In D'antonio's system Jamison would be really good especially with Amare there. My only think is NY probably won't want to deal Douglas and Chandler for Jamison but Carmelo seems to want to be a Knick considering the fact that if he wanted to be a Net he would already be there and if Denver still likes Andy my overall thinking is this:

Knicks gets Carmelo and Jamison.
Cleveland gets Anthony Randolph, Wilson Chandler and Tony Douglas.
Denver gets Andy, Danilo Galinari and 2 1st rounders from the Knicks.

If Denver likes Andy as much as was possibly reported when NJ had a deal up for Carmelo then I'm sure they will still want Andy now. Because of this we get as much out of New York as possible and getting Randolph, Chandler and Douglas is a nice trade for basically Andy and Jamison.

I mean I like Chandler and would love him on the Cavs, but think about what you just wrote. There's Graham, who is ok I guess, but should never sniff the starting lineup on a good team, Moon who hasn't done anything this year, Powe who is undersized at PF and has a questionable knee, and likely a second round pick for a guy averaging 17 and 5? Sign me up if it can happen, but there's no way they would trade Chandler for a player off the trash heap and a meaningless pick.

Offering Moon for Chandler is like us offering Hickson for someone like Ratliff.. makes absolutely no sense either way.

We don't know what is attractive to other GM's...they could be interested in a package we have to offer. Doubtful? Probably. But we never know.
The thing with Graham is, he is helping his trade value with his play recently (not saying its amazing), just stating the fact that he is getting more minutes and is doing a solid job. NY is a team on the rise, and especially with the likelihood of them getting Melo, there is a way we could get Chandler in a 3 team trade that helps NY land Melo.

Little known fact: RCF traded Heath for Mannyfresh6 and a second-rounder.

One-sided trades might be fun to dream up, but it is doubtful they will ever come to fruition. Trades seem to be player-driven these days rather than dictated by GMs. When the Cavaliers do get a trade together, it will likely be one of two scenarios:

1. A player begs his agent to get him out of __________, and he would even agree to move on to a rebuilding team.
2. A Cavaliers veteran player begs his agent to get him onto a playoff-contender.
3. Financially-motivated moves, such as another team trying to get below the luxury tax line.

I haven't heard any whispers of Chandler being unhappy, and his team doesn't seem to be in a salary-cutting mode.

Thanks for the shoutout.

Appreciate the info. Haven't heard of him being unhappy either; but I do recall in the off-season there was talks about him possibly being moved.
