Windy's most depressing article yet

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Boo.

I understand normal people who have to leave Ohio because of the economic situation. Hell, I might even be one of them in two years, as much as I hope I can stay. LeBron does NOT fit into this category.

And Windy knows that Bosh would have come here. There was a S&T in place with Toronto. If LeBron would have been half the alpha that Wade was, we'd be in the Finals right now. Competitive advantage my ass...our roster from last year with Bosh would be twice as good as this Heat team.

Windy just needs to cover that gay team in South Beach and stop making excuses for LeBron leaving and quitting...funny how he didn't address the douchebaggery of the Decision. That was NOT part of the "trend".

Windy is way off base here. Most people that leave Ohio is because they want to find a job. LeBron had a job and one that payed quite well.

He fails to mention that LeBron never tried to recruit anyone here, held the franchise hostage and demanded trades happen that simply hurt the franchises ability to sign a FA in the end.

Windy continues to kiss LeBron's ass. The guy has no integrity left when he speaks of James. What a hack!

So are we suppose to believe that Lebron asked Wade and Bosh to sign here but they refused? Is that what the story is now?

Boy; I use to respect and like Windy. Not anymore. What a piss poor crappy AND off point article. You suck buddy. Half the stuff in there is blatantly false and he knows it.

Leaving home, many of them said, was a stain on James’s character — even though they apparently had left, as well.

Garbage. I don't think Windy gets it:thumbdown

Windhorst's analogy is simply awful. Many people are leaving Ohio because there simply is not enough work in the state to build a career and raise a family. LeBron James is a multi-millionaire who left, disgraced his home on national television because of very specific circumstances - he wanted to play with his friends and realized he can't carry a team by himself.

This is not the same as the rest of the Ohio expats - and its not even close. It's poor attempt at profoundness. Windhorst should stick to writing boring articles for Heat fans and Disney's corporate leaders.

Brian Windhorst used to be one of my favorite writers. Unfortunately, he has become an LBJ apologist in the worst way. People who leave Ohio almost always do so for economic reasons - mostly because they can't find a job here. LeBron James had millions in Ohio, and left for millions in Miami. Comparing the two situations is just silly. Brian Windhorst could have become one of the best NBA beat writers of this generation. Sadly, like LeBron, he's a shell of what he could have become...it's truly sad.

Windy's situation is different as far as leaving. I'm sure ESPN offered him things the Plain Dealer could not. I'm not sure we can blame a guy for leaving for more money in his situation.

However, we can blame him for kissing ass and not giving a fuck about journalistic integrity anymore.

... yeah; James' penis.

Maybe the best place for this is Off-Topic, but I put it in Around the NBA for now.

No, he's had that lodged in his mouth for a long time. Ever since LeBron was 14 apparently. Every time he comes on KNR now, nobody can understand him cause he's gagging so much.

And, as another point, think about how much the Cleveland economy suffered in the last winter of our discontent. Crowds at the Q were severely diminished and the downtown area bars and restaurants declined in business accordingly. The economic impact of LeBron leaving must have been disastrous (I'd love to see some figures, if anyone has them).

Way to rub salt in the wound LeBron/Windy.

It doesn't depress me. It's just one in a long line of spin articles that will be attempting to justify LeBron's decision. There will be plenty more to follow. I am a bit disappointed in Windy, but he made his decision last year so this isn't so surprising I guess. He does write for Miami and ESPN now.

All I can say is "Let's go Mavs!".
