New TV show:

The new weekly "Wine & Gold Zone" TV show will debut on SportsTime Ohio at 8 tonight (Monday, Jan. 19). It will cover the Cavaliers and the NBA. Cleveland sportscaster Mark "Munch" Bishop will host and Sam The Bullshit Whisperer of Pro Basketball News will serve as analyst. STO is owned by the Cleveland Indians and broadcast throughout the entire state

I'd love to hear a review from someone who gets to watch this Monday night. Is this a good development or a time waster? There have been some pretty strong opinions expressed about Munch on RCF.

The problem is that there will likely be as much news about Avon Lake High School sports as there is with the Cavaliers.

Show's at 8pm EST. Game at 10:30pm EST.

They probably planned it to start Monday in part as a very early lead-in to the Lakers game. Gives them an obvious story or two.

Or did you mean Suns/Celtics at 8? (which is probably of just as much interest to Cavs fans).

Agree with everyone above, as much as love the Cavaliers, Munch is intolerable. He literally gives me a headache.

I actually like The Bullshit Whisperer after having watched him on All Bets Are Off a few times. He's pretty straightforward and can be entertaining, and he won't hesitate to tell Munch if he's wrong about something. I'll give it a chance for that reason alone.

That's my impression, too. Maybe I need to have the mute button ready for Munch or to hit the right buttons on the DVR to just get The Bullshit Whisperer's commentary.

Haha, that's pretty funny. But I'd say give The Bullshit Whisperer a chance. Last year on All Bets Are Off he said the only thing he didn't like about Dan Gilbert was the fact someone told Gilbert the Scream Team was a good idea and Gilbert listened. He also always referred to Larry Hughes as Larry "I Hate Myself For Loving" Hughes and once told Bruce Drennen that his tie made him look "dead sexy." Drennen looked shocked afterward. I can't wait to see how he deals with Munch.
