Very frustrating game offensively today but the defense continues to prove it's for real.

I really can't blame Tressel for not opening up the offense. He knows he has a great defense and a mental midget at QB. It's awful watching Pryor just stare down a receiver until the defender jumps in front of him as the balls in the air. It's ridiculous. He makes great throws sometimes and has an amazing arm but his decision making is at best a C-.

With that said, Tressel's playbook is too predictable and doesn't play to our strengths. I'm a firm believer in running the ball and ball control, but throwing on first down, running on 2nd down for 4 yards, and then an incompletion on 3rd down is not the way to win games. Hell, I'd prefer the old run the ball on 1st down, run the ball on 2nd, and throw on 3rd.

Lets face it. Its not all Pryor... The O-line is very young, WR are very young and Boom wasn't getting it done at RB. Boom getting hurt might be the best thing that has happend to Ohio State this season. Saine looks way better and it shows. At this poing in V. Young's Texas days he was a redshirt Freshman and the backup QB. Pryor will get better as well as the o-line and Posey and Carter. I do hope to see us get a new coach to run the offence this offseason though.

I really can't wait to see Pryor next season and the season after that b/c he is only getting better and the players around him as well.

I just hope Heyward and Gibson stick around. Might not happen tho with Heyward being a perfect 3-4 DE and Gibson a 3-4 pass rusher. Both will be 1st round picks.

People expect Pryor to be Troy Smith, obviously they're going to be disappointed.

Dude is still a true sophomore with two and a half years to grow, but nobody will admit that. He sucks now he'll always suck.

I agree.

Halfway through his second year in college, Troy Smith was a punt/kick returner. Vince Young was battling Chance Mock for snaps.

If TP never improves, then yes, he'll be a massive bust. But his college career isn't even half over.

THANK YOU!

So far Pryor has lost to USC (top 5) twice, Penn State (top 5) once, and Texas (top 5) once. All as a freshmen and sophmore. While his peers in college football lose games to unranked schools. Im not even sure if in that same span of 15 games anyother team has faced 4 top 5 teams.
Pryor throws very good over the middle, and is dangerous out of the pocket.
He struggles throwing to the sidelines and takes too many sacks.

I really cant think of any sophmore QB that has played good. Sure Tebow won the heisman as a sophmore, but if I remember correctly, he lost 4 regular season games, to a bunch of unranked team.

If I remember correctly, in at least two of those loses he had us with the lead with 2 minutes left in the game. Im sure he will be just fine moving forward.
