Can we have a close game for once, these games are almost boring to watch. Its like playing madden on rookie after you are a freaking stud.

Its fun seeing our boys do well, but get me nervous a little bit.

Game is on the BTN...which sucks.

I don't expect the Buckeyes to lost this or the next week against Illinois. Michigan week is always a toss-up, even though having Tressel at the helm always makes me feel more confident.

Without PJ Hill, Wisky has no chance of beating the Buckeyes.

That's ok, I'll feel better if we smoke a mediocre team like Wisky than if we play them close, especially at home. There is some benefit to having been tested I suppose, but I'll take beating the pants off teams any day.

And I honestly don't find them boring. I enjoy a good beating. Close games are too hard on my heart. :)

OSU vs WISC

Anyone know where I can find video or audio of this game on the interweb?

Re: OSU vs WISC

Um...if you find out, let me know.

Figures that the one day I can't see the game, Ohio State is on the ropes.

I'm really glad I went to this game...
we were down 17-10 in the 3rd quarter ... the defense wasn't playing too bad(but missed a few easy tackles), the offense couldn't string anything together...and then all the sudden it just started clicking. We ran the ball down their throats...28 unanswered points, 3 of which were touchdowns by Chris Wells on the ground (31 yards, 30 yards, 23 yards). The defense stepped it up and got to the quarterback and forced 2 fumbles and got a key stop when wisconsin faked for the 2nd time on a 4th down punt situation.

Overall it was a great game...wisconsin has a decent offense though they were missing P.J. Hill...they ran the ball decently but we sacked Donovan 9 times for 60 yards lost.

We actually sacked him 10 times. Ouch.

Game Summary: http://bucknuts.com/news/story.php?article=2138b

* With this win, Ohio State set a new Big Ten record for consecutive conference wins with 20. That streak also dates to that 2005 loss at Penn State. Michigan set the previous record for consecutive conference wins with 19 from 1990-92.

* The Buckeyes extended their school-record of consecutive regular season wins to 28, dating to a 2005 loss at Penn State. The previous record for consecutive regular-season wins was 21, set from 1967-69.

* The Buckeyes have now won 18 straight home games, dating to a 2005 loss to Texas.

The commentators were giving lots of love to the Buckeyes, and brought up that for 5 years in a row OSU has had the most players on the big ten all academic team, and has a team gpa of 3.0 this year. Meanwhile, JT is tied with Carrol for the most wins of any coach since 2001, when he came to Columbus. Class, character, success in the classroom, success on the football field. JT has brought all of that to Columbus. If you're not on the JT wagon yet, you need to be. He's really made the program something to be proud of.

The commentators also mentioned the schools with the most weeks as the #1 team in the AP poll, since its inception: 1) ND, 2) Oklahmoa, 3) OSU. Not too shabby. We're not that many weeks away from ND either. If we win out this year, I think we will claim the #1 spot in that category.

Lord Gholston got 4.5 sacks which is a school record. Unreal, Vernon just helped his draft status in a big way.

One of the commentators mentioned he can squat 450 pounds

...

TWENTY TIMES!!!! Goodness gracious.

Where's TJ? He said we were lucky to have missed Wisconsin last year...

Yea, that is ridiculous.
I can squat 315. Once. Now I realize that I'm just an average guy physically, and only weigh 175, and he's going to be a 250 lbs professional athlete, but come on, he can warm up with 50% more than what I max. And come to think of it, I don't see really any guys my size at the gym squatting that much weight, so pound for pound I might even be above average at squatting. It's no wonder that several times I've seen him toss 300 pound linemen out of his way. He is crazy strong.

Remember Kudla? He had some whacky weight room numbers as well. Same position, and similar build to Gholston, although VG looks like a comic book super hero with those guns. Speaking of, how's Kudla doing in the NFL?
