Wizards still hating on 'Bron

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I will rip your ass apart!

From Caron Butler's new blog

With Gilbert, myself, Jamison, DeShawn, Haywood, Mike Miller, Randy Foye, Oberto (nice pickup) and the rest of the guys, I think we have more than enough to compete with the big dogs in the East. Now we just have to get it done. Boston and Orlando would be great to beat, but you know I have a special place in my heart for Cleveland for putting us out all those years in the playoffs.

It’s a good rivalry we have with them, but there’s no actual hate. I wasn’t raised to hate nobody. I respect LeBron James and the rest of them. In fact, I speak with LBJ often. That said, I tell you right now that Mike Miller, whom I love, has to take those LeBron shoes off. That’s just not acceptable around here. You heard that, Mike!

Miller will continue to wear LeBrons shoes.

Washington Wizards guard Mike Miller, despite the urgings from his teammates, will continue to wear LeBron James' signature Nike shoes.

Wizards guard Mike Miller wore James' Nike shoes in training camp and was told by teammate DeShawn Stevenson not to wear them.

Michael Lee in The Washington Post writes:

"He got to get them out of here," said Stevenson, a noted James agitator who engaged in a war of words with him two postseasons ago that later involved rappers Soulja Boy and Jay-Z. "LeBron shoes -- we off that. We already got war against them. He can't wear that. It's all beef right there."

And Wizards forward Caron Butler says in his blog:

"Mike Miller, whom I love, has to take those LeBron shoes off. That's just not acceptable around here. You heard that, Mike!"

Despite the so-called beef, Miller tells Lee that he didn't understand how intense the rivalry is between the Wizards and the Cavaliers.

But that has changed.

I'm starting to understand what it is. There definitely is a competitive little atmosphere," Miller said. And Miller said he wouldn't let his friendship with James keep him from wanting to beat him. "He's a great basketball player," Miller said of James. "You always have friends in the league. That's how it is. The ball goes up, it's going to be us against them. It doesn't matter who it is."

The Wizards are built around 3 very injury prone cornerstones. They're never going to be a threat.

Since it is a Wizards thread, I must say watching Deshawn doing his eyeball sandwich thing during the preseason today is so annoying and I can't wait until we play them in a game that matters.

This can't be stated enough...

The Wizards will never be healthy. However, if you are in the fantasy league and feel the need to draft Arenas or Jamison just before my pick, I won't be mad.

One of my frat brothers decided to bring up the Cavs' loss tonight, ignoring the fact who was out before the game even started and those that had to leave the game midway. He then found out he, like DeShawn, could not feel his face. I found out he must have bad motor skills because I felt it with a nice slap upside it.

User Christb probably has a clue on who I'm talking about, but man, I've never had a Wizards fan within close proximity, and it won't be the last time, so I think my frustrations with the team's fans will be resolved eeeeasily.

Wizards cant even make it out of the preseaon healthy with their "big 3" ... what a joke

also funny that Mike Miller is still wearing the LeBron shoes... you get the feeling he is on that team looking at those guys and kind of laughing at them lol

I now know what the Steelers feel like when they talk about the Browns lol.... but at least we used to beat them some long time ago and have a history of a rivalry... the Wizards are just making up this rivalry and its sort of pathetic

I am praying we get their asses in the playoffs again this year

At times Mike Miller looked like their best player.

Maybe they should let him wear whatever shoes he wants?
