Cavs Trade to LAC:
Damon Jones
Anderson Varejao
Joe Smith
2009 1st Rounder

Clippers Trade to MIA:
Elton Brand
Brevin Knight

Miami Trades to CLE:
Shawn Marion
Daequan Cook

The Clippers get the cap space they want to make a run in 2010. The Heat get Elton Brand. The Cavs get a good right hand man for LeBron and a decent shooting role player at the 2 spot.

Maybe this is dumb in the grand scheme of things. But I'm bored and I wouldn't mind it.

Not a chance.

I think the heat and the cavs would both do it. mybe heat throw in a second round pick to the clippers also.

why I like it:

cavs:

we really need marion, and all we will be given up are 2 expiring, AV and a 1st that will be in the 20's anyway.

heat-

they are in love with brand, giving up marion and cook would not be a big deal.

clippers-

jones, smith are good expirings like ziss said for them to make a run later. also AV is a young big man who could fit well in there system. Also they could deal are 1st and some other stuff to move up in the draft, which could give them 2 top 10 picks.

works out well for every team.

With everyday that passes, it's blatantly obvious that Miami will do anything to ditch Marion and make a run at Brand. But no one seems to be taking advantage of the situation.

Before Brand decides to resign with the Clips Ferry should be on the phone doing whatever it takes to make a 3-team deal work.

He is resigning with the clips, its a done deal. You are the one that doesnt see it. If everyone is laughing, but you dont get the joke....maybe its because the joke is on you.

You are a joke lee. BRAND WOULD HAVE TO RESIGN WITH THE CLIPS TO MAKE THIS TRADE WORK. have u ever heard of trading a free agent??? OMG!!! clippers are not going to contend even with brand and davis. Also if brand gets hurt again, his career could be over, and yes you can stay that about anyone, but brand for sure. can say the same thing about bavis as well.

But we would need the clips to resign brand, then he would be traded to the heat. Because dude, you can't trade a free agent.

Ok, now GS just offered brand 90 million for 5 years. More money than the clips offered. GS is not his original team so they cant do a sign and trade. The clips are signing BD so they can make a run at a championship with him and Brand. Wether you believe thats a contending team, the gm there must or why do you sign 2 aging all-stars. No way the Clips trade brand if they get him back. If brand wants more money, he can just take the max deal gs offered him. I might be the joke, but atleast I dont believe in fairy tales. Us getting brand is a frairy tale. Start thinking things that are reasonable or you will end up disapointed, and that is a life lesson.

Let me guess, you are the type of guy that buys a lottery ticket positive its the winning one.

why else would I buy one?? to have sex with it?? ok that was one time.

this trade is pretty much done now. golden state with brand, AL, jackson, monta feels like they can win it all. mybe we can still trade AV for marion?? j/k

You guys are over hyping expiring contracts.....They are good assets to have but when you have players like Varejo its nothing big.

It's not so much about overhyping expiring contracts as it is overhyping them BEFORE the season starts. Expiring contracts are most useful tools when teams have made the decision that their season is over. Everyone has optimism before the season, regardless of how bleak the situation. ;)
