I've always been very good in the scouting dept which is why I am taking Sports Management Courses to become a Pro Scout. Regardless of Football, Baseball, or Basketball, I've always been really good at judging talent. What I have never understood is the trades in the NBA. Most of them just make no sense. They either way overcompensate for a specified player or way undercompensate for a player.

One thing that continues to pop into my head with the Cavs is how much better they would be with a creator at 1 & Kyrie at the 2 guard. Don't get me wrong, I think Kyrie is solid & doing a fine job as a rook, but I think if he were at the two & had more time to find space off picks, curls, etc, that he could free himself up more offensively. Plus, lets be honest, he really doesn't excel in getting the ball out to other players. He tries, but he just isn't a pure point. Also, the Cavs have always seemed to do much better with Sessions running the point & KI in at the 2. The penetrate & kick offense with two good guards allows Jamison, Gee, & Omri to catch fire as trailors from behind the arc.

What would it take to get Rondo? Sessions, Tristan, & a 2nd? Bart Scott would be $h!ttin himself if he were able to run his 3 guard system.

Scouting 101, get the names right.

Kyrie is a phenomenal ball handler, willing passer and terrific penetrator. What makes you say he's not a true PG? He's not averaging 7+ apg? Look at the guys around him, not exactly reliable offensive weapons.

wow, that combo of the user name and op just makes me weak in the knees.

this thread very soon is gonna be real fun or dead.

Why the hell would the Cavs put Kyrie at number 2? He can barely defend other point guards in this league, and you want him to defend shooting guards? He's way too short and lacks the muscle to play the two guard spot. And I don't get it when people are saying Kyrie is a bad passer. Yes, he's not as good a passer as Rondo or CP3, but he's definitely very good in that area. He had seven assists last night, and he could have had several more if for instance Samuels and Erden were able to dunk the ball. We don't need a true point guard when we have Kyrie, and the true point guards term is idiotic in my opinion. Kyrie is 19 years old for gods sake, and he is the most mature rookie coming into this league for years. Putting Kyrie at the two guard would be the biggest mistake since not resigning Boozer.

And there is no way Boston would accept Tristan, Sessions and a second round pick for Rondo. And why trade Tristan when he's finally starting to come around, and really showing his strengths? He's a definite keeper in this league.

Stupid idea. I think you should reconsider the courses you're taking.

I thought scouts were supposed to find the NEXT great thing.

So 5 years in you think Rondo is good enough to trade for. Awesome "scouting" there.

Yeah because it's so great when Kyrie is on the floor with Ramon and he's playing off the ball..

I am surprised that a scout genius would waste their time and money on school.

I don't think I've ever disagreed more with a post.

Sign me up! The 2-guard line-up has worked wonders for Golden State

Maybe we could sign Ray Allen to a two year deal this summer to be our starting SF?

Why are you asking us if we would? You are obviously the scout genius, this question shouldn't even need to be asked!

Even if the guys managed to play off each other really well, Rondo isn't exactly a "high character" guy that the team searches for to put on their future contending roster. I don't think it'd work out anyways, but to each his own, I guess.
