I've always been very good in the scouting dept which is why I am taking Sports Management Courses to become a Pro Scout. Regardless of Football, Baseball, or Basketball, I've always been really good at judging talent. What I have never understood is the trades in the NBA. Most of them just make no sense. They either way overcompensate for a specified player or way undercompensate for a player.
One thing that continues to pop into my head with the Cavs is how much better they would be with a creator at 1 & Kyrie at the 2 guard. Don't get me wrong, I think Kyrie is solid & doing a fine job as a rook, but I think if he were at the two & had more time to find space off picks, curls, etc, that he could free himself up more offensively. Plus, lets be honest, he really doesn't excel in getting the ball out to other players. He tries, but he just isn't a pure point. Also, the Cavs have always seemed to do much better with Sessions running the point & KI in at the 2. The penetrate & kick offense with two good guards allows Jamison, Gee, & Omri to catch fire as trailors from behind the arc.
What would it take to get Rondo? Sessions, Tristan, & a 2nd? Bart Scott would be $h!ttin himself if he were able to run his 3 guard system.
:chuckles: Anyone who thinks the Cavs would fare better with Ramon at point has no idea what they are talking about.
I just have one question for you scoutgenius, what do you think of Perry Jones?
