Why though? How does this help any storyline?

I know I’m not gonna change any minds about AEW here, but it’s directly involved in a storyline. Kingston vs Danielson is an ongoing feud and Akiyama is Eddie’s hero. Outside of storyline, it’s Danielsons full-time retirement tour and he’s facing a lot of legends he missed out on wrestling during his WWE days.

TIL I learned that, for a very brief time, WCW changed Goldberg's theme to this absolutely awful Megadeath song "Crush 'Em" and my god was it a poor decision.



Didn't even know Megadeath made music that bad.

OTOH, Hangar 18 would be GREAT entrance music for a wrestler.

Not a popular opinion, but I've always felt Sting was wildly overrated. Kudos to him though, still an excellent career. Lots of wasted opportunities on the back half though. Each major wrestling company has done wrong by him IMO.

I was never a huge fan, but his impact on the business is undeniable.

Similar to the Ultimate Warrior in the respect he was absolutely beloved by kids in the early 1990s. And those kids grew up to be adults who, in most cases, still watch the product.

Except Sting could actually work and cut a promo. And wasn't a bigot.

Stinger is most definitely not overrated. He’s WCW’s goat and been a performer in five different decades. Perhaps the best rivalry ever is between him and Ric Flair. WWE bungled his time with them because he wasn’t one of their guys, but that certainly isn’t Sting’s fault.
