If only I could eye roll hard enough. Such a smark comment.
It's true, though. He kicked out of two Styles Clashes, one of which was on a fucking steel chair. That's the kind of move that could get a ten count in a Last Man Standing match, yet Roman kicked out of it. He also just shrugged off about ten steel chair shots, and that's not even getting into him kicking out of the Gallows/Anderson finisher earlier. It was just ridiculous. Reigns is basically everything people have hated about Cena and his booking for years, but without Cena's charisma to compensate. It's just not fun when one guy looks that strong at the expense of everyone else, especially far more talented guys like Styles.
I do appreciate him adding a few new moves to his list, though. Tonight we saw a vintage Triple H flying knee (Reigns botched it, but points for effort) and that Razor's Edge into a sit down powerbomb. I think that brings his total move list up to about six, but it's progress.
As far as the main event goes, it was good until the end. The ending was just uninspired. It was exactly what they did at Payback, and it was insanely telegraphed. I continue to be disappointed that Gallows and Anderson are being made to look like a couple of bitches every time they cross paths with Roman Reigns, and it continued in the main event. It's hard to take them seriously when they just continually look like fools and eat superman punches.
Best match of the show was easily the IC title match. Three of the top five guys in the company, though, so it's not exactly a surprise that they put together something awesome.
Hopefully Rollins takes the belt back soon and we can move on to more interesting feuds. He won't though, because LOLROMANWINS.
