I heard that there is a way to flash the firmware on the xbox 360 drive using a sata connection to your PC so that you can play backups of your 360 games. Might have to look into this. On a side note, I'll own anyone at Guitar Hero II and NBA live 2005!

you can sign online with soft mods. It involves using a paper clip into the disk tray with a paint brush on the end.

I went ahead, bought a second used 360, and tried it. Works like a charm.

So what exactly do you do with it now?

I keep it as a backup system, because I've heard that these 360's are made like crap and have over heating issues.

So you bought a second box and modded it just so you can keep it as backup just in case the other one breaks????

Well, that and to do system link with 2 boxes on 2 different TV's. If one breaks I'll just sell it as is for parts and keep the other one.

The newer 360s have better heating coolants so hopefully that will make the 360 better quality.

No, I understand that, but I don't understand why you needed to mod one of them if you are not actually doing anything "hacker" wise.

So you pretty much just modded it and just using it as a regular box?

And what type of mod did you do to it?
