Wally doesn't have to worry about being drafted in to the army if he doesn't play well this year ... Sasha last I knew, still has time he needs to serve and needs to stay in the league if he wishes to avoid it.

It's absolutely true. I'm not exactly what the parameters are but you are required by law to enlist in the Serbain Army. If memory serves, Vlade was brought up on charges for never enlisting when he returned to Serbia after he retired a few years ago. He may even have been initially sentenced to a year in prison. He ended up getting a position in the governement to smooth it over and avoid prison.

Lots of country have mandatory service. The USA used to - well - selective service but close enough unless you had an out.

Our forces seem just about stretched to the limit now, what with having to recall national guard units to serve in Iraq and constantly extending tours of duty ... so ... not to scare our younger draft-eligible members, but if the US keeps getting entangled in more wars, we're probably not far from seeing the draft reinstated.

Yeah, same here. During an AAU tournament last season, coach picked me to come off a pick and hit a three from the corner (my hot spot) to win the game. Well, I missed.. I was VERY angry and pissed at myself for that. But, I kept my cool, I didn't start swearing up and down, or kicking chairs. I waited til I got home to let my frustration out. I do understand Sasha for being pissed at himself, but you can't get too carried away.

Now that is some funny stuff.

Equating an AAU game to an NBA exhibition game. 'Cause we all know that the pressure is relatively equal, right?

You know why you couldn't "let your frustration out"? Because most likely, you were a kid at that time too. There are probably rules on your team that would have had some sort of repercussions were you to start swearing uncontrollably and throwing things. Not because you're "better than that."

And I'll play the sexist card just a little here, 'cause you're a female, and females react differently to things, ESPECIALLY in sports. I've seen very few girls in the past bunch of years that I've been coaching that have let loose a string of expletives. It just isn't the way girls roll. You even proved it by saying "you waited until you got home." That's how females tend to react, they hold it in for a longer time and express it when they feel it is most convenient. Boys? They swear, yell, throw some stuff, and it is OVER.

Too much is being made of this Sasha issue. Too little is made of his ability to come out in the 2nd half and play much better.

Who cares if he swears, if you have played any sports and performed bad your going to get pissed and probably swear. i know i have its normal, and like many have said it shows that he cares. Id much rather that then just hom humming to the bank with his checks, sasha has the talent he just needs to learn to use to all to be successful. I wouldnt care if my kid heard that, its part of life get over it. If hearing swear words at 9 screws you up we are all screwed.

I can't do it. Maybe it's beacuse I live in a home that looks red and drink a lot of sugar water, but I still think Pavs has the hated "potntial" to be the best option for us at SG. Sure, I'm disappointed that he hasn't lived up to his potential, but he is still young and I always loved the fire that he brings. Nobody on the team has the spunk and attitude that Pavs has (except maybe Ben and sometimes AV). He don't take duky from anyone...
