because the Cavs ended up getting their butts kicked last night but i think if 2 calls go the other way it is a game til the end. the 1st was the charge called on Z when Shaq was clearly in the circle. the 2nd was the charge called on Sasha and the end of the 3rd. a couple more scores on those trip down the floor and it could have been a much different game in the 4th quarter.

its tough to nail a beating like that on just 2 calls...you make a good case for both of them....the refs were killing us all night...but in the end we satill were able to get it down to 8 we just couldnt finish...if the refs play it fair all night maybe its a different story but I think it just wasnt our night

We were NOT 2 calls away from making that a game. What we needed was one or two field goals when they outscored us 22-0 or 28-0 (I forget what it was) so that we wouldn't get down 28.

We can only make so many runs. They fact that they fought enough to cut it to 8 was admirable but that was too much to overcome. I know what you're saying, 2 calls can affect momentum a lot but still I don't think that makes the difference here.

Losing Z for a signficant portion of a game when you're going againt Shaq and Mourning is huge. The team looked dazed after that but they again put a nice comeback together. This team never quits and I like that.

The fact we slump so bad when Zydrunas goes down should ring alarm bells for all of us. Some people here think Anderson and Henderson are good enough for backups at this spot. Last night was proof that they are far off "legit" backup C's. Gooden basically didn't play the second as he was being manhandled. We need a physical big body supporting Ilgauskas.

Playing something called defense probably would have helped.

i wasn't saying that those 2 calls were the only factor that cost the Cavs the game. my point is if they don't take away Z's bucket and Sasha gets free throws they could have been with in 6 going to the 4th, maybe things finish a little closer maybe not.

We were about 8 jumpshots away from winning no way ANY team goes on a 22-0 run...idc if we are playing naked in Antartica...utter :bs:

The reason the Shaq call was so huge was because he had 3 fouls at the time and it was the end of the second quarter. Basically, a 4th foul on Shaq there would have sat him for the entire 3rd quarter, that would have been a huge factor

Guys, we got outrebounded by 15, and we shot 6 of 20 from three point land. No matter how the ref calls go, when you do that you lose big. Karma is right, we need a real back up C.

I believe htat charge call that should have been a blocking call would have been shaq's 2nd foul - he was clearly inside the circle. A 2nd foul on Shaq and Z doesn't get hurt a few plays later. Perhaps that makes a difference, perhaps not.

It would have been his 4th and it was the beginning of the 3rd quarter. If Mourning wasn't playing like an All-star I'd concur that it was a difference maker. But, we were tired and they had too much firepower. After the 22-0 run in the first half they toyed with us for the most part. They were never in jeapordy of losing that game.

oh, okay - I remembered it was going to get shaq out of the game. Z also got wade out of the game with his 4th foul. Alonzo did kill our rally though.

every call hurts, and when u are playing 4 games in 5 nights u are already beat down and tired, then they make u go all the way from cleveland to miami over night, and then the next day come out and play the heat lol... refs are never on clevelands side because its cleveland, cleveland teams gets cheated in every sport, basketball, football everyone remembers when fans threw beer bottles and shit... but refs are paid to do there job and i just hope there pay checks go to something else cuz they did not deserve them... i no im making alot of excuses but its the truth...
