Your 2018 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not sure how old you are, but Cleveland was absolutely a baseball town for a very long time. I know in the 90's the Browns were gone, but even before that in the 50's and 60's.

In the 80's the Indians stank and attendance suffered, but Muni Stadium was awful too.

I am not disagreeing as today baseball is a distant third in Cleveland, just wonder what happened.

Also, remember when Cleveland was an Indoor Soccer town? Anyone else use to go to Cleveland Force games regularly? I remember having 10k+ per a game. What a fun dead sport, lol.

I don't know what happened either. But, the Twins and the Tigers outdraw the Tribe. I think that is sad. No one wants to hear it, but that will affect their ability to add pieces to this team. It is a brutal market for an ownership group.

So disappointed in Indians fans.

We'll simply never have a better team than right now. We are bringing in numbers that bottom feeder teams do. Baltimore is 21-52 and is above us in average :(

The team should be at 28k at least. I guess we gotta let July and August play out.

I think the Cavs are killing the attention and attendance for the Indians. Not to mention the Browns still have the hearts of the town.

There's always some excuse like this, though.

Oh well.

Weather looks terrible this weekend

Weather looks terrible this weekend

Tribe just played a day game in complete cloud cover.

Weather plays a huge roll in attendance. There is no way around it. I'm assuming Minny, Chicago, & Detroit probably have similar situations.....so I'm not sure about all of it.

Times are just changing man. Soon we'll all be playing baseball in our virtual reality tanks in our homes.

Those weekday day games do much better in attendance than the weekday night games. I feel like they'll have to do some drastic deal/promotion to ever consistently get 25k through the week.

The attendance numbers for this weekend should actually be pretty good despite the bad weather- I believe they reported early on after tickets went on sale that this was the second most popular weekend behind the Yankees series in a few weeks. I'm sure a lot of people are trying to unload them on stubhub now or not even bother

The Sox do because they aren’t good; the Cubs — I would venture to bet they’re at least in the top half of he league if not top third.

I’ll be in attendance tonight to see my boy Bieber pitch a dandy. Also, I far prefer interacting in the Tribe section of this board than the Cavs sections because of the high amount of posters who are in full fanboy mode and in denial about the likelihood that LeBron leaves this summer.

The meltdown last night after taking a player we've been linked to for awhile was truly awful, especially considering there wasn't a clear cut "can't believe we passed on him" prospect that everyone wanted.

Yeah, it's why I didn't really get pissed. Sexton is fine, whatever- I've accepted LeBron is gone. I think a lot of people were expecting a wild night of trades for Kawhi, Walker, George, and all this other ridiculous shit that we all deep down knew was never happening. The Cavs will be back to irrelevance very soon.

It's summer, which means the Indians should provide our entertainment until football. Fine with that.

Football providing entertainment? That's a good one :chuckle:

I guess it could be an excuse. But during the fall and winter months, what else is there to do

Agreed. The denial is laughable.
