Your 2019 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The 2017 Indians may have been the best Indians team in my 30 years of life. But, yes, they fell apart in the last few games of that ALDS against the Yankees, and we haven’t won a playoff game since Game 2 of that series.

Yeah that team was definitely the most talented Indians teams on paper of the teams lately. It sucked they lost Edwin on a freak play in that game they won and then nobody could buy a hit the rest of the series.

Just watched him get fucking rocked in Columbus on Monday.

Not sure why they're continuing this Plutko experiment, he's not an MLB pitcher.

Anyone better in the minors wont be in rotation or is not close to ready. better to take a loss than ruin a top half of the rotation type guy.

Its pretty obvious why they are forced to use Plutko.

Give Dallas Keuchel some money already.

We saved money this offseason didn't we? Throw him a year and $10 million or whatever he wants. At least make it look like you're still trying to compete. Flip him at the deadline if we're out of it completely. Somebody would take him.

This team is so frustrating this year. Tyler Clippard and Adam Plutko are both starting for us this week. Injuries suck.

You’re only 30? Loser.

Ridiculous.

Why do they need to “make it look like” they’re trying? Salvaging that 10th percentile attendance figure?

They’re not good enough to add players, I couldn’t imagine why Kuechel would have any interest in playing for a dead team.

They’re not going to put a double digit contract out there in what looks like a lost season. Nor should they.

I'm just frustrated dude. This season sucks.

Kluber, Clevinger, and Carrasco are going to miss multiple months combined between them this season. Bauer has stayed healthy, but he hasn't even been close to expectations this season. Bieber has been the legitimate only bright spot for a rotation that was supposed to carry us and be top-3 in baseball.

If you told me at the beginning of the season that our rotation on June 5th was going to be Trevor Bauer, Shane Bieber, Adam Plutko, Tyler Clippard, and Zach Plesac, I would've laughed in your face.

The one literal bright spot on this entire team has been taking hit after hit and it just fucking blows.

One can only hope LA would be willing to deal Verdugo for Bauer. That offense and OF is so stacked out there. Bauer could be a difference maker in a World Series run vs Verdugo being one though.

People keep saying Indians should be sellers, except we have nobody to sale unless you're talking Lindor. Nobody is lining up for Kipnis, Kluber, Martin, etc. We can always trade Hand I guess.

Bauer is the only guy I'd sale.

Kluber, Clev, Carrasco, McKenzie, Jefry, Anderson, Hu are all on the DL at the moment, which leaves only Plutko and Hentges left on the 40 man roster who can start (Meija is a starter but at A ball). Now personally I would have no qualms if we added Civale or Morgan to the 40 man roster to do some spot starts in the pros. I know neither guy has pitched above AA but to me, those guys have the next best talent on the roster right now since the would have added Peoples/Asher earlier in the season if they felt they could have pitched for the big league club. Civale is Rule 5 eligible next season, so its a good probability we will lose him if he isn't protected this off season, so with these level of injuries, maybe give him a shot until Clev is ready.

Shoot we are all frustrated with how things are going especially with the fact our offense hasn't been consistently producing and our only hope on the roster, we have 7 starters on the DL between the pros and AAA, while the one that is left of the top 8, Plutko, didn't have spring training and isn't up to speed yet and the other two starters aren't ready to be in the pros. We got lucky we went and developed Plesac since he has shown at least he can hold his own in the pros right now. Numbers 10 and 11 in the depth charts to me as starters are Civale and Morgan, so we may see one of those two guys here soon!

Roberto Perez: 43 GP, 130 AB, .223 AVG, .325 OBP, .446 SLG, .771 OPS, 9 HR, 20 RBI, 19 BB, 1.0 WAR
Jason Kipnis: 43 GP, 166 AB, .211 AVG, .271 OBP, .307 SLG, .578 OPS, 2 HR, 11 RBI, 14 BB, -0.7 WAR

Flat out inexcusable that Perez is still behind Kipnis in the lineup. Kipnis literally probably shouldn't even be a regular guy at Triple-A anymore, let alone in the big leagues.

Hope Tito wises up soon, bumps Perez up to 5th or 6th in the lineup, and puts Kipnis on the pine permanently. That man is single-handedly ruining the flow of the middle third of our lineup. Would honestly rather see Mike Freeman or Max Moroff getting all of the ABs at second base moving forward. Kipnis is 32, injury-plagued, and cooked. Sucked that he fizzled out by the time he was 29, but it is what it is. Sizemore was washed from injuries at 27. Sucks, but it happens.

Time to stop clinging to the past with Kip and take him out back with Old Yeller.

Kipnis is Tito's boy. I cannot wait until the dude is gone. He's nothing more than a bench player, or out of the league.
